Sweet Cottage founder bug?

So I finally got around to playing the founder in Granthwood last night and I noticed that even when I had Anansi patron's favor at the beginning of the turn I did not get the extra coin. If I sifted it mid-turn I did, but again even if I kept the favor I didn't get the coin. The tool tip was the same stating that I would, but it never happened. Is this a bug or just something to do with this particular quest? PS5/NA
