Is there a way to check the ping rates in the game? I seems to have terrible lag...

    In game there is not currently.

    You can do this outside of the game using Windows Performance Monitor.
    Simply press the Start button on your keyboard and then press R (Start+R) and when you get the run dialog type in PERFMON /RES
    This will bring up a screen where you can click on the Network tab.
    Find the process ESO.EXE and then match its PID with the PID in the section below labeled connections, scrolling to the right you should be able to see the latency/ping you are getting for that program.
