[SOLVED - it was all the dummy's fault] Blessed Shards synergy available with Critical Surge

I was using Critical Surge, from the mage skill line Storm Calling, and noticed that when I use it, the Blessed Shards synergy becomes available to me, except that the UESP page for Storm Calling doesn't mention this synergy, and their pages are normally pretty accurate. Or is it the combination of lightning staff and Critical Surge that triggers it ?

    It either a very bizarre bug or a templar was throwing spears at you without you noticing.

    I was using a DPS dummy, so definitely no templars around, unless I need to learn more about these dummies ?

    A, yes, forgot about them. Trial dummies throw spears, it's inteded to simulate raid environment

    A, yes, forgot about them. Trial dummies throw spears, it's inteded to simulate raid environment
