Steam Login "Unexpected Internal Error Occurred"

Hello,
Is anyone else unable to login via steam?
Non-steam works and even steam worked just 6h ago but now I get an "unknown internal error" upon login.
I don't even get to character selection.

Also, I am fairly certain back in 2018 I swapped between steam and non-steam and all my purchases including eso+ were present on both, did that change? Seems to be not the case anymore.

I validated the game files and removed my complete "live" folder to make sure no setting or corrupted file was the cause but the error persists.

Finally! So glad its not just me!
Yep, same problem.
Can't login to either server nor the PTS.
Tried repairing, restarting everything and no luck.
I've just deleted the game, gonna redownload and install which'll take ages on my slow internet

Yes, can confirm: PTS login does also fails the same way.

Well the steam and non-steam installs I have are different files on my drive.
But even if not, support will normally tell you to do that so I made sure to comply with the procedur I expect

This however does not look like a file error to me too.

I am on non-steam version (EU) and since today morning I am facing permanent disconnecting from the game (well known message: An error has occurred...). Yesterday all was fine, but for some unknown reason today all is falling apart (did not change anything). I wanted to continue with main story quest in Galen and it was painful like hell. I got disconnected every 5-10 minutes. Of course I tried traditional things - disable all addons, repair game, pray, wave with my ears to fly away.... nothing helps

On the steam version, just run the eso64.exe file, you skip "steam" and you can log in with your login and password and as long as the given account has the option, 2 "separate" ESO installations are not required.

The procedure is pointless as even PTS cannot log in.

Add me to the list. Was playing fine, took a break, and now unable to login. Same Error "Unknown Internal Error"

I also am steam user with unexpected error on login on either NA or EU. I have a ticket open with Zos (221105-002140) and have replied to first automated email. Seems login data is not transferring from steam to Zos.

Tried to open a ticket with steam but they just point you back to Zos. So even if the issue is with steam, it’s Zos who will have to coordinate with them.

I was going to be afk for a while but gave it another try and was able to log in.
As I didn't intend to play at this very moment I logged off and tried again and wasn't able to log in in multiple attempts afterwards.
I suspect it could be a timeout due to a slow login server? This was brought up by another player on the steam discussion too.

Went to put some gear in my bank, noticed ESO+ had stopped working on NA sever. Logged out to check EU server and couldn't log in. Now can't log in to either server - internal error......

I'm not even on Steam and I cannot login. My account is merely linked to a Steam account and it tells me my password or username are incorrect. Neither are. I cannot even get into my profile the normal way.

I bought game through steam in 2017. Then bought the game trough www.elderscrollsonline in 2019. Since then I have always played the game through the Bethesda launcher without any problems until today. Now I can’t login to the EU are NA servers. I have tried launching the game through Steam & the Bethesda both just give me a login error.
When I can log into my Bethesda account online to check my details it will not work. I see my Account summary page but if I click on any option like “manage membership” or edit account info” the page timesout.

I forgot to add. I have a 2nd account bought through Bethesda which I can log into. So it is not my pc, addons or internet connection that is the problem.
The only difference is my main account was bought through Steam.

I can sort of login... But as soon as I try to load a character the game crashes. Three times now over the last 20 minutes.

Make sure you have read the sticky thread on current crashes, and have checked the various known causes and workarounds. It may be a new problem with Steam, but it's more likely a known problem with this week's update.

Just been doing that, thanks. Tried other games in my library, the issue is definitely not Steam.

I have been able to play eso+ untill this afternoon when I was kicked from server then the error messages started. I have removed all addons & libraries so that is no my problem.
After I unlinked Steam from my account I can play but I don't have the eso+ I have payed for.
