I'm playing ESO on my 15inches retina MBP with Nvidia 750M, but the highest resolution I can set is only 1440X900. Anybody know how to set it higher?

    Ah, your title is misleading. I have both a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro. Those are two completely different animals.

    ESO doesn't like the Mac Pro - at all, because its a dual-processor system.

    It's set that way now (about the second beta test I think) because the graphics card would never be able to handle ESO at the 4x pixel scaling. Trying to drive that many pixels would mean big load and also a lot of heat generation which can already be an issue on the MacBook Pro.

    Setting to 1440 x 900 is actually what Apple themselves recommend for 3D gaming on the Retina display. And as it is not actually a set resolution but scaling, it looks great at that setting (2 pixels per 1)

    There is an Apple kb article on this here;
    In that it says:
    My application wants to take over the screen and use it own resolution settings. Which setting works best?

    If you are setting the resolution from inside an application (for example, when adjusting settings in a 3D game), try the 1440 x 900 resolution first. You can experiment with additional resolution settings from there.
