If...you’re over CP1K decent DPS player, and meet totally fake over CP1K 3 players in random normal DLC dungeon.

Consider this situation of you.

CP1.9K unnaturally glass fake tank (1H1S with taunt. but can't handle just 3 mobs at once, and quick dead)
CP over 1K fake DPS (or just brainless, keep standing on AoE, and quick dead)
CP over 1K totally fake healer (doesn't have no group healing skill, and quick dead)
And...you're only decent DPS worker.

If your random team mate is over CP1K player, but you notice your team mate is totally fake(or too much useless players)
at the first boss phase. Seriously, what will you do? Instant leaving? or kill the boss by your solo fighting?

The most important point is "they're high CP players". They're not below CP500 players.

Who is the worst players among those situations? And, why some players keep doing those nonsense playing style
after 8 years from launching time of ESO? Didn't you lean any of experience after "undaunted event"?

I thought my worst random normal run situation was to meet 3 fake roles when I was in real tank character.
Those brain dead fake players were killed by AoE so many times(because they ignore protection wall, and
doesn't have any of self healing skills). So, I killed dungeon boss by solo tank fighting.

But, this time is more worse. Because, even I was not tank role, but must do solo fighting in group dungeon. :s
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?"

I think ESO is super "casual game". How about make "super casual immortal mode" for those nonsense players? :/

If it doesn't seem like the dungeon is going to clear or if I am getting really mad, I'd quit. It's possible that high cp people could be casuals or crafters or coming back from a break or new to that role or character... or any number of other things. I used to check cp at the beginning, but I don't anymore, no point. I just (silently) judge based off if people are interested in talking, their performance, and if they're using reasonable weapons for pve (lots of snb healers recently, I just assume they're pvpers?).

Well, I generally don't care much for playing DPS, but I suppose I would try it in a random normal for giggles.

I would say that on normal it's more important to have a healer than a tank, so I would slot some heals, and maybe ask in chat what is up or how folks are doing, or for that matter if anyone wants to switch roles.

Pretty much all my stamina Characters have a tank build, and my magicka characters have a healer build, so potentially I''m adaptable

I guess the most apt response to 'what would you do' is that I would communicate - depending on what the other folks say, then we go from there.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I do not run random groups because of this. Besides, CP is so easy to get these days that it cannot really be used as a guide to ability.

When they removed the CP cap, I was circa CP 1400, requiring over a million XP per new level. I'd been playing pretty solidly since 2016 and while there were higher CP players around, encountering them wasn't that common.

The changes reduced that requirement to something around 300k per champion point (at my level) and it suddenly became easy for me to get several CP per day. I lost interest in the game for a year or two and come back now to find every man and his dog with higher CP than I have.

If you are running a random dungeon, you get what you get. I do a number of randoms every day and it's not uncommon to end up with players who may not be ideal. I run mostly healers, so I don't have to worry about that, but yes sometimes it's very frustrating. Most of the time it's only one not really up to it player. I can see where having all the other members not carrying their weight would be more of an issue.

One last comment, a couple of days ago I had a really good group with an actual tank! He was able to hold the boss so we could stand around it in the four-position stance just like in a video! I can't even remember the last time that happened to me. The DPS were great too. It was a rare pleasure.

If theyre dying instantly to trash theyre not pvp'rs. Your typical pvp'r is gonna be a survival build with lower than optimal dps more than likly but does not die to npc period. pvp is not easier its harder just to be clear =p

Sorry for not being clear, wasn't meaning they die quickly was just a side note about me seeing a lot of healers having sword and boards recently. Did not mean to insult pvpers, just have briefly heard its a thing that some healers have snb/restro haha.

If its a random normal or a veteran base dungeon and everyone repeatedly dies, I'm out, regardless of role. I'll take the penalty and try my luck later.

But if its one or two that keep dying, and they are not responding to advice or following mechs, then they don't get rezzed when they die.

It IS a random, after all. So you can't be to quick on the trigger. At the same time, I don't feel bad leaving, either

If I meet low level players(CP below 500) in random of dlc dungeon, I'll take solo boss fighting.
Especially I'm in real tank character. Sometimes it's a inevitable situation.

But for the high CP brain dead players (over 1K CP), totally no thanks.

I killed dlc dungeon boss by solo, because every high CP players were fake role players and really useless guys.
I was not tank in that time, but for those nonsense players, I killed boss by solo.

After that, those walking nonsense people kicked me. Because they felt huge "shame" of themselves.
Simply, they were disgusting bad manner players.

If you're over CP1K player, you're no more newbie guys. Do not do "basic nonsense behavior" in random
grouping mission. If you keep doing like those people, then you're "walking shame of display".

Going fake role is your responsibility. And must have self protection skill, if you try to use random grouping tools.

cp is a poor indicator of experience in content, it purely means they have played the game a long amount of time

i have a couple friends on my list who are over cp2000, and have somewhat decent builds, but dont generally participate in group content (dont run dungeons often, and had never even done a trial until last weekend when i organized some for him to get a gold plunder skull lol)

especially because of the xp buffs (enlightenment, scrolls, event bonus) + efficient farm methods like people doing normal blackrose prison farming, its not exactly hard nowadays to shoot up to cp1000-1400

so i dont always assume someone at cp1500 knows what they are doing (ive also seen cp300 people who could pull high dps, which suggests they were a console transfer that knew what they were doing lol)

Maybe they kicked you because you wasted their time by fighting the boss on your own for an hour instead of reviving them? Maybe they kicked you because you killed them with some mechanic that you did not understand? Maybe they kicked you because you insulted them? Maybe the "fake role players and really useless guys" were having fun, while you stressed out over some normal dungeon. Maybe maybe maybe... We will never know.

The game does not teach you how to play. You have to learn by yourself or with the help of guides and friends. If you only play the story and quests in open world you do not have to learn anything. If you never play dungeons and trials, how would you know about tanks, healers and bossmechanics? A lot of people can not even see a difference between NPCs and players. Some play with no chat. Some are playing in first person view. Some people never change the settings for visual effects to better see enemy abilities. Some do not see numbers. Some do not even see you when you are dead on the ground. And there is so much more that the game simply does not teach you while you are questing or farming. You would have to read the tutorial in game. But let's be honest, who does that? Did you know there is a tutorial?

If you want to play with "good" players, because you feel like everyone else is a waste of your time, then join a guild and play with your guildmates. You can teach each other how to be mighty warriors. Talking down to "brain dead players" and telling them what to do should not make you feel superior. I am sure you can find another way to boost your ego. Good luck and please try to have fun. It is still a wizard game with talking cats and reptiles...

Simple. We would carry that player.

I do not bother to queue solo in any role because I have found the GF is full of such players queuing solo. I form or get into groups via a couple of guilds I am in so I do not have to bother with a group of random players. The most I will have to experience is one if we only have three in our group. We can easily carry that player and give them a great experience.

It depends on your team mate actually. So, part of agree, and part of disagree.

Most of people learn from failure, and get accustom to situation. But sometimes,
(it is very rare case though), extremely stubborn player who doesn't know basic game rule
and basis of role obligation keep doing nonsense over and over. Mostly high CP player.
They ignore advice intentionally, and keep staying too much strange behavior.

It is not hard to get a decent enough group unless ones uses the GF to form the group for them. Even groups from my more social guild handle most content fairly well.

For players that are "learning" existing content that is well known, it is significantly better to learn by running with a group that can explain what needs to be done than beating one's head against the wall with a group of strangers that are less likely to be patient with you and have a high chance of not knowing what to do either. The guild group can better help that "learning" player with their build and rotation to put them in a better place at the start.

Not sure what the issue is with high CP players, as CP is highly irrelevant to a player knowing how to play. I have seen and been a low CP player outperforming the work of multiple high CP players.

Of course, that player you seem to speak of that is stubborn and full of nonsense is avoided by forming one's group.

Its rare but it does happen where all 3 other group members are not upto par. I had one recently where i was tank in vet banished cells 1. It was painfully long and they couldnt kill kinlord at the end even.. 20min into fight hes still at 90% and im tanking 15 adds away from them trying to help them focus boss lol!! I ended up bailing

If...you’re over CP1K decent DPS player, and meet totally fake over CP1K 3 players in random normal DLC dungeon.

If you're decent dps then you should be able to solo normals. What others are doing is irrelevant. That's why I always queue as "fake tank" because if I don't then I most likely end up with one anyway. So why wait in queue lol? Sometimes I end up doing 80% of the dps and sometimes only 25%, but the end result doesn't vary much. Whether dungeon gets finished in 6 or 7 minutes doesn't matter to me.

My thoughts exactly when I've read the op.

Pretty sure you would know that there are people that just boost CP. Like dolmen farming or skyreach over and over.
I have a friend IRL who dolmen farmed to over 1k CP and that was when max CP was even before 810, and as I said to him all you are doing is sacrificing skill over arbitrary points.

Yes CP is a participation prize, not a skill indicator. ESO is my retirement hobby. I play a few hours most days, so CP goes up. I'm a middling DPS, but a fine healer. I do sometimes take my DPS characters into dungeons. I need to practice those mechanics if for no other reason people who make assumptions based on CP shouldn't. And the other side of that is when I start up a new healer her CP is below 160, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to work the role.

Did you try explaining the mechanics to them? This happened to me recently and my the time I was done typing I was the only one left... :-( I type really slowly on the controller.

Just recently had the opposite experience.

I was leveling a newbie (I think he was about level 18 or so) tanking, and landed in Arx (hmmm....maybe I was higher than 18) and the other three were like CP mid to high hundreds. They could have done the whole thing without me, but it was quite nice.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
