Falling Below ground during the escape from the prison

I think im falling below the ground texture. i can still kill things, but its impossible to walk around, the screen is mostly a light blue. i had to delete my level 1 character because of it and recreate him. ive lowered my graphics settings, updated drivers, restarted computer, and tried /stuck. not the best experience for day 1.
