It has been nearly four years since our last BG map was added. Hardly even qualifies as content given that so few of us play/enjoy bgs.
They did say in January that there would be no pvp content in 2022 since so much of their development resources would be focused on the code rewrite. I do really hope that we receive word on this soon.

Sure, but in ZoS eyes that's generous. They don't even like giving PvP a thought when they churn out their ridiculous new sets, so I have my doubts about new content. Remember when the hammer was the first Daedric artifact being introduced? Now its the last.

It would be really nice if BGs had some additions. Cant be too costly to release another map, 3v3s, etc… but what would i know?

There hasn't been any new PVP content added to the game in years. No new maps, game types, game modes, combat systems, classes, skill lines, etc. Can we get some news on whether new PVP content is in the works and possible timing on when new stuff may get released? It's hard to keep existing players engaged and logged in, old players to come back, or to attract new players without new PVP content to point to. To put it simply, a sizeable number of players are bored of playing the same thing over and over again for years. Adjustments to the meta by adjusting pre-existing things in the game just doesn't cut it anymore.

We don't need more PvP content. We need them to make the content that already exists to work properly, raise the population caps back up to at least 150 players/faction, fix stuck in combat bug and skills not firing etc. They just need to follow through on their 3-4 years of "we're working on it" statements in regards to PvP.

While I'm all for PVP content of any variety, most people I know are completely tired of BGs. The 4v4v4 environment has so many issues. Deathmatch is best played by running away from fights and always being the 3rd party in. Chaosball and domination both encourage fully unkillable tanks that don't actually want to "pvp". Capture the relic always ends up with two teams fighting, and one team just capturing relics on repeat. Having a high MMR actually makes your experience worse, because you need to wait longer for games and you end up fighting the same exact players every game. The leaderboards are pointless, because players with high MMR cannot even get enough games to be near the top and they are solely based on who plays the most and can get the most games per hour.
I'd be all for a massive rework, but realistically I think that time would be better spent reworking imperial city or cyrodiil, or developing a new PVP zone. I guess most of it is a pipe dream anyways.

Totally flabbergasted by gamers who say we don’t need new PvP content. What if people had said that about PvE?
Imperial City was a flop. It was lack of new creative PvP content that caused an exodus of PvP veterans after 2015. I remember the great PvP community we had prior to the release of IC. Miss it a lot. Will we ever get that again in any game?
Large-scale battle made ESO revolutionary in 2014, but we haven’t had a new large map in eight years. Infinitely disappointed. Felling let down beyond infinity.
