Highly unlikely. It’s not an exact rotation, and specific crates are returned for Witches’ Festival (Hollowjack or Reapers), but generally the longer it has been since a crate was available, the more likely its return. Also, sometimes costumes and polymorphs (not sure about hats) from crates will rotate through the Crown store for direct purchase with Crowns, usually if it fits with a theme in the showcase.

If they're delaying Frost Atronach crates to add a Dark Opaline Senche Radiant Apex, I will wait. I almost buckled and got the "Celestial Crate" Radiant Apex Senche with the black stones and stardust. But It's not quite the look. "Opaline Iceheart" purple texture is the look I am waiting for. Reminds me of Black Soul Gems. I liked the Dark Opaline Horse, but I don't like how horses ride on rough terrain. :/

Maybe something like that will be in a future crate — some designs seems to be reused a lot — but I’ve not seen additional items added to existing crates, certainly not additional radiant apex mounts where three already exist.

I think the Psijic returned this month instead of the Frost Atronach because it was felt that went more with the theme of Meridia and also hadn’t been available for a while. I will be surprised if the Frost Atronach crates haven’t returned by April.

There has to be a point at which new crates stop being introduced. Since the items in them are unavailable when the crate is not in season, the more crates, the longer the wait, or the more frequently they need to change.

I think when they started, an annual cycle, with predictable returns was intended. The term “season” was used to reinforce that. But more crates meant longer waits, and months replaced seasons, and we even get multiple crates in a month now.

It is not clear where the limits are on what is available for gamble/purchase at one time. The Crown Store items also come and go on some pattern, because the system can’t support everything being on sale at the same time. Crates are part of that, of course, with a single crate type limit.

They could drop a specific crate, and put its content into the regular Crown Store pool. But we would still have to wait for the item we want to be on sale, and the currency for purchasing it might change. Right now Seals of Endeavor can only buy crate items, so if you had saved up Seals for something, and its crate went away, you would not be happy. The more they create, the harder this gets to fix.

At this point in time I'm afraid the Frost Atronach crate wont come until December of this year. since it will be pretty much the start of spring and those crates only really come out during the winter season.

I clearly warned you all of this. with so many crates released it was going to be picky choosy with crates to be added to the store and because of that some crates will be delayed for 3 years because Zos doesn't want a whole lot of crown crates added to the store. the normal highest amount of crates it seems will be 2 but not every month will have 2 crates.

and it seems since the Sovngarde crates will start on the 29th of February and last until the 14th of March there will be a very high possibility that we will only get 1 return crate in March.

March should have a new crate of course too

When do you think we'll get the return of the Stonelore crates?

I count 10 crates before them looking at release dates, but I would like to have them in the second half of April 2024, because by that time I'll have enough seals for the Stonelore Lynx Mount and the Blossom Bloom Memento - the only 2 items I'm looking forward in crates atm.

They are kinda Spring related but I don't want to wait until 2025!

If that is the case then that will have been exactly three years waiting on a returning crate, when the longest period of time between a returning crate has been a maximum of two years.

    That would be unprecedented.

And it would be a clear sign that we need 2 crates sales a month, 2 weeks each, for every single month, not just occasionally.

Nightfall, Hollowjack, Dwarven, and the 4 2022 seasons are the remaining to have a comeback.

I would expect no crates for June, since the new season will come.

In July we'll probably see Sunken Trove. Can't say if we'll have another one in addition, but by the end of the year we should have covered all of these 7, since probably September and December will also be skip months. Hopefully we won't have to wait 2025 for Stonelore...

    Edit for typo.

2023 december had multiple crates, including celestial so it doesn't have to be like you think.

even june could have multiple crates.
i think sunken trove, dark chivalry, wraithtide, and stonelore will return in order throughout the second half of the year.

it is possible stonelore wont be until 2025, but zos only recently started with multiple crates per month in i think November

    edited to add:
heck they could return Sunken Trove and Dark Chivalry in July, do Wraithtide in October,
and Stonelore in November for the Legacy of the Bretons event

or trove in june and chivalry in august.

I was just pointing out that we have 7 seasons to see Stonelore and 7 months remaining in 2024, when usually not every month we have returning crates and not every time they come in couple, so I would hope for Stonelore by the end of the year but I would not take it for granted.

I don't think we are disagreeing XD

I never liked this, waiting for years so you can buy something digital that only needs to be activated by the devs to appear in the crown store.

    You're not the only one.

I hooked up with a newbie once after killing a world boss together.

He saw my merchant and banker.

He wanted them. Told him they were in the crown store.

Next time I saw them he'd bought them. That's a lot of money being thrown down on an MMO he'd barely started playing.

Then he asked me about my elk mount. He loved it about as much as I do. Told him it was, like most mounts, limited time only and most likely to show up next in a gamble crate at some unknowable point in the future.

To say he was unimpressed would be an understatement.

Stopped playing. Never to be seen again.

I didn’t think I cared about the Sovgarde crates but I really need a better “hairstyle” for the Argonian character I’m planning! Too many even from crates are just a bit of feathers on the crown with the rest bald! :( The lycanthrope and white river braid styles are more to what I’m looking for but I don’t expect the Dwarven crates to return for quite some time. I do wish the always available styles for Argonians were better as there are some nice ones for men, mer, and Khajiit!

I know you've said you're not super impressed with feathers but...

I've found the feathered kelp-scalp looks great in combination with the earnable through playing Morrowind content Bouyant Armiger face markings. Because the blues in each are similar.

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Feathered_Kelp-Scalp

Though only on one side of the face, it's a robust face marking so might look less bald for you.

The colors are nice and I would like that style a lot more if it covered the back of the head a bit like the misanthropic lycanthrope style (now have) — I think the back of the skull on female argonians looks somehow odd in profile. I ended up going with the rooster frills (as @LunaFlora recommended — thank you!), but thank you for the recommendation as well!

With Dwarven out in June I begin to hope in an earlier Stonelore comeback.
In theory, 5 seasons remaining before Stonelore. Fingers crossed.
