Looting corpses...

Hello

Am in the starting area and was doing some preliminary leveling and noticed that all of a sudden I couldn't loot any corpses. Is this by design as you level or am I running into a bug or lag?

Not every enemy corpse comes with loot included. That said, I have had lag spikes make the entire world non-interactive for a bit.

Some corpses don't have loot indeed, but it's probably a bug when you can loot none at all.

Well I logged back in, I'm not really seeing any lag, still can't loot any corpses...So not sure...

Absolutely it could be a bug. I wasn't 15 minutes into the game this morning when I had to relog to get things working again.

I had a bug on one of my beta characters where the entire tutorial area and Coldharbor had no way of interacting with any urns or crates. Chests worked and bodies could be looted but not urns and crates. It was unable to be resolved. That area is a bit buggy. Too many late changes in my humble opinion. They should have left that area and the starter islands alone.

If you're still in coldharbor, enemies stop dropping items or giving experience once you hit level 4.

It's been like that since the final beta when they 'streamlined' the tutorial.

if you have any questions, i'd send in a bug report. /bug in the chat interface opens up the dialog.

If you have area looting on, you might see if killing another mob fairly close, and looting them clears the whole lot of loot.

Do all the enemies only have 1 or 2 gold max? And no good stuff? Disappointed in the loot in this game so far...

They'll drop more and better items later. It's pretty normal for MMOs that starter zone mobs don't drop decent loot.
