Game crashing - my story of frustration

Gingerbreadhag
My CPU crashed at the loading screen after the login screen. I followed the ESO instructions about uninstalling Add Ons etc. Did not work. I then uninstalled Nvidia GeForce Experience and the crashing stopped. Yesterday it crashed again so I gave up for my sanity.

Today I tried to login and got a "DPC Watchdog violation error in Windows 10". Followed the fix instructions, still crashed.
So I looked through my add on folder and uninstalled the "Lost Treasure" add on as it was the last one I installed, and its not crashing anymore.
I wanted to add that my monitor lit up like deranged pixies every time then the image scattered.

My system (yes its old)
Processor Intel Core i5-6600 CPU @3.50GHz
Installed Ram - 16.0 GB
NVidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti

I have not reinstalled NVidia Geforce Experience or the Lost Treasure Add On out of fear.

Another article I read said to disable any overlays. I only tried that with NVidia GForce, no sucess. Just passing that on.

I am not an expert in any of this but I wanted to share in case it helped anyone.
