ZOS must consider to stop speed runner of the dungeon

Consider increase secret boss(or branching contents) reward more meaningful.
>not just power buff for veteran difficulty

>add weapon and jewelry drop for collection
>add 2 gold material reward
>add 20K gold reward

Unfortunately pure explorer is minority, majority people of this game
is just character building maniac. ... I don't like that, but it's truth. If you can't make
true exciting adventure gimmick in dungeon, then consider something short
solution to stop speed runners for gear farming.


Just increase reward of branching contents in dungeon as the bait
for pulling interest of speed runners.

Just increase importance of tank and healer role for those
special big reward mission. Otherwise, people never stop
doing fake role.

    Technically, Zenimax did address the issue. It is why everyone is pulled into the fight once one person engages a boss.

    I think if they made the trash on the way to the boss meaningful so that players could not just run past them then it would help solve the issue.

    However, players who have a specific interest, including taking it slow so one can explore, need to form their own group. It is one thing to slow down a speed runner and a different thing to go at a pace allowing players to explore and get into the details of a story.

    Speed runner is not actual Speed runner mostly.

    Most of those type of player is not so strong in PVE situation.
    They ignore pacing or over confidence player, and killed by
    much of MObs in the progress of just the corridor.

    It's disgusting. :(

    (Of course fake tank and healer is worst problem though)

    It does let the people besides the speed runner get loot. Otherwise, you ram into the issue that the speed runner can potentially kill the boss before players make it to them on normal.

    If you wish to play a certain way without having a conflict of interests, find people with similar interests.
    Queue systems will always carry the risk of conflict of interest, no matter which "side" you're on.

    They did that content thousand times, why would they not speedrun it? Do you really enjoy slow "exploring" runs when you've been in a dungeon lots of times and explored everything that was there? Most people don't. It's okay to explore everything in first, say, 10 runs, but then you'll be sick of that dungeon.

    Agree.
    Vampire has excellent stealth skill, so it's the only effective
    way to reach the boss room for the Speed running.

    But personally, I don't like over confidence speed runners.
    Most of those people doesn't have dungeon gimmick knowledge,
    and not so skillful player. They believe that "equipment" make them
    better. I think it's wrong...

    OP started complaining about rushers and then proceeded to talk about fake roles.. which one is it now?! I'm confused...

    Anyways, increasing loot etc. does not counter the problem. People who are rushing dungeons are mostly there for two reasons
    1. transmute crystals
    2. gear

    In my experience, the first group is by far the largest, because you really need to queue for a dungeon in order to get the transmute crystals, whereas gear farmers often solo or duo the dungeon to skip the queue. The only solution for this is to remove the transmute crystals from normal random dungeons. Sounds perfect on paper, but the actual result would be a hugely increased queue for all the questers and XPers.

    Basically, you're collect. Most of dungeon looks like mandatory for gear farming.
    And, not so exciting contents like the AAA action game moment.
    (I also did tremendous times looping "Fanged lair" for the calurrion set (/._.\) as the tank role mainly.)

    So!! ... I said that scatter more attractive reward each section in the dungeon,
    then both explore and gear farmer have co-purpose.

    Well, it's not best solution. True problem is that dungeon becoming mandatory cloning contents.
    Not just reward problem. If activity itself in dungeon is really exciting, then everyone do that
    without big reward.

    I never liked skiprs. However, every time I initiate vote-kick of them during last few months, they ended out. I think, that more players understand now, how skiprs harm them and vote-kicking of skiprs is much successful therfore.
    PvP - Recruit.
    PvE - Dragon food
    RPG - A guy who thought, that he can defeat daedric prince, yet guards still chase him off when he accidentally touches some object during daily writs.

    If someone start to vote for kicking "skippers", I agree with that mostly.
    But I never start voting for kicking speed runner by myself. Because both
    skippers and pure explore have decent opinion.

    I already did that. There is no solution for it unless you are willing to accept an even longer queue. People are playing dungeons for different reasons. Rushing ahead is as annoying for questers as opening every bag of flour is for gear farmers on their 45th run. Any attempt at setting up "rules" on how to play a dungeon is bound to fail. If you encounter someone whose playstyle you don't like, you are free to /votekick. But don't complain if someone does the same to you.

    Not sure why you are asking me this question, as I merely pointed out the solid fact of how Zenimax saw fit to address the issue. It is not something I proposed, so I see no need to defend it.

    I am surprised the rest of my comment was not addressed as it offered an idea that could help change things and the best solution for those who want to go slow and capture all the details of the dungeon.

    It never made any sense to have mobs be skippable, addressing the actual issues is the only way to pinpoint the exact problem.

    Step 1 - Put up walls between mob groups or before each boss so that make players actually play the content as intended.

    Step 2 - Vocal community outcry, nerf the mobs life so people can "speedrun".

    Step 3 - Finally fix the exploits in certain bosses. Like the Giant Matriarch in Scalecaller Peak. Stand at the start and skip the mechanic. That is literally the definition of a broken fight.

    I think normal style running(1tank 1healer 2dps) is the still best or better way
    rather than skipping many of mobs. Honestly say, it's more firster than unnatural
    speed running with fake tank.

    Some people die intentionally before the boss room to avoid horde of mobs.
    It's a...funny technique though, but very stupid playing style anyway.

    (I recommend DK class with DawnBreaker ultimate, if some people still want to do
    skipping. Pulling huge amount of mobs and use DawnBreaker skill by DK. DK has 20sec
    duration bonus. It's more effective than other class.)

    I am on the NA Server, and I play late in the evening East Coast Time, US .... and I am @Auldwulfe in game --- I would LOVE to actually explore some of the dungeons, as opposed to flying through.

    My dungeon guy is a tank, and I don't mind that role ..... so yeah, we are out there... we just need to figure out how to find each other, better.

    I would suggest a mini lobby - when a group is formed, it should put them in a private chat window where people can discuss what they are looking for, and then hit ready to start the dungeon.... my experience, so far has been queue up, get grabbed, and if I am lucky, I can see the backside of some of the other players dashing off, as I load in.

    Put up gates at three or four points - with one right before the final boss. The gates don't open until all members of the group are there. So even if you're doing it solo, or in a group, they'll open.

    The speedrunner will either slow down and help, or be forced to sit there and twiddle their thumbs.

    I like the idea of adding rewards for doing side bosses. A lot players run to last boss for jewelry or weapons having some drop on sides would encourage more players to actually do the side bosses. Also maybe an extra key for defeating side bosses

    If you want to run dungeons a certain way, find like minded friends and queue with them. Queuing for random dungeons and expecting people to roleplay while you do quests is naive when end game currency is locked behind completion.

    Why don't all you guys that create these [snip] threads make a guild and run with each other? May I suggest a name?

    Stop expecting people to work overtime OP, other people’s extra effort is not your birthright.

    If you want more than the minimum completion, at least ask nicely or offer payment.

    This is how you start votekicks, then we will have topics about slow people and being kicked from groups.

    Just accept that people have different views on how they spend their time. Want to take it slow? Group with likeminded friends.

    It is hard to ask the DPS stop when you in a low difficulty Normal / Vet dungeons ... everything's just too easy ...

    They will stop at the boss they typically cannot handle , such as VSCP 1st boss :)

    I would recommend that type your requests quickly before they engage

    I think that ZOS misunderstands marketing situation of group dungeon.

    Majority of players in this game don't like exploring. (Or lack of quality of game design
    to feel real adventure experience.) ZOS keep pushing character building only game against players,
    so people's interest concentrate "gear farming".(Or U35 complaining :s )

    Then...

    Remove secret or branching quest from group dungeon, make it more simple rollercoaster casual
    group gear farming(remove instant death also). And increase solo public dungeon which has lots of exploring
    aspect and much of nice story quest for genuine Elder Scrolls fan people.

    Well...it's a very lazy solution. But simple and constructive.

    Or...

    Upgrade grouping system. Current grouping tool is too much lack of function.
    Add option "speed run or deep exploring", "accept fake tank and healer or not".
    Because, Most of fake tank PUG team is speed runners.

    And...

    Add chance to get jewelry and weapon at the other boss in dungeon.

    Consider ESO engine quality, there're not much other option except these.

    Random normal dungeons should be changed in such a way that they only count as completed if you kill all the bosses. The XP could then be buffed a little to make up for the time lost. Nothing about the group finder is more infuriating than leveling a new character, getting fungal grotto, wanting to do the quest, only for some guy to solo the dungeon regardless of whether the team can keep up or not and then quitting as soon as the dungeon has been "completed".

    Yeah that will not end well. Mass kickings. People will just leave dungeons leaving 2 people to wait endlessly for replacements. The outcry would be massive. Especially when refarming gear is a constant thing with the 3 month pts cycle. They really just need a separate que for explorers and runners.

    But I'm busy looting and bang! Dragged to the boss. The dead boss will still be there unless they finish the dungeon and then disband the group. That happens too.
