Magicka characters with dual wield?

I’ve seen some images of parses people are making and their magicka characters are wearing dual wield instead of staff. How exactly does this benefit your character?

Oh interesting do you recommend I do dual wield and staff on backbar for my magsorc or what would the setup look like? Also since I’ve been using staves the whole time, what is the quickest way to level dual wield ? I’m still a new player

Not for magsorc. Ranged DW mag sorc died out ages ago. DW templar, dk, or mag NB still works, though.

DW front bar works on any class, in any fight where you don't need to be ranged
