Don't even remind them about the beam or they'll nerf that too. Also, I just randomly remembered a thread in the combat subforum asking at what % HP to start beaming. One answer was that in PvP it's beam from 100%. Guess we're doing that in PvE now too.Sandman929 wrote: »Already set up Beamplar 6.0 in anticipation of never getting unboned this update.
Jabs/Sweeps is an AoE ability, and Sweeps heals you for a pretty considerable amount.
That alone makes it a lot stronger than most spammable abilities in the game. Arguably too strong. If you had asked me before PTS, I would have told you burning light needed a 50% damage nerf. Instead, it got a ~66% nerf (and a buff in the sense other abilities can proc it now)
Not every fight is single-target. I think it's foolish to judge how good or bad a skill is by looking at single-target damage.
Jabs/Sweeps is not useless. It's not even inferior to other spammables. It's just situational. And in those situations it will perform far better than anything else in the game.
It's fine for an ability to be useful for 75% of content, instead of 100% of content.

I'm fed up with everything good getting nerfed because of the farce that is PvP. Templars were underperforming in PvE for a long time already. Now jabs got destroyed and instead of getting some compensation in the rest of the class kit, we got several more nerfs because why not. Jabs were used for such a long time because the other skills were inadequate. Now watch NBs becoming the new one button class.alternatelder wrote: »It was time to take Templar down a notch or two, they've been strong for a long time, that one button spamming was too much, it was annoying, it was all you needed for some wins. I hope the nerf stays.

Really? PVP v PVE again. Really? Templar were not close to top dps in PVE, the fact you don't play them, and keep dying to them should not be a factor in wanting them nerfed.

There will also be a handful of tweaks to some class abilities in next week’s PTS patch, based on the feedback we’ve received, but the majority of these will come in the final PTS patch. Note that the focus of these adjustments will be on Magicka-based Nightblades, Wardens, and Sorcerers.
They said that most of the class changes were not going to come until the final PTS patch.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »
