Rings of Mara - how to do?

So my fiancee and I are both at the Shine of Mara in the Cathedral in Daggerfall. We both have Imperial Edition and we grabbed the Pledge of Mara from our mail inbox.

Can't seem to figure out how to make it work and there are a lot of people standing around there not very successful either. I have seen a few people make it work, but they are silent about it.

Anyone have any clue?

We have tried logging out and back in, being in a group together or both solo, and even put the pledge in the quick slot bar

As far as I understood from a friend of mine, you need to put the pledge into the quickslot bar, select it by holding Q and then pressing Q on your target. Does that help?

Just found out how to do it from someone in game.

1. Press M to go open Map
2. Look for Shrine of Mara, has a tower icon
3. Go into the cathedral and look for the Shrine of Mara statue
4. Press ' (apostrophe) to open your mail
5. Collect your Pledge of Mara mail by pressing E
6. Press I to open your inventory
7. Press Q to open quick slot bar and add the Pledge of Mara to a slot
8. While near the Shrine with your partner, face them
9. Hold Q and move mouse over the Pledge of Mara and use it
10. Should get a pop-up asking you to confirm it

Not working for me. Quick slot it, target my mate (grouped or ungrouped), press Q, highlight the pledge, left click (or E, or anything else) and nothing happens. Release Q with it highlighted, and still nothing happens. Both of us have the scrolls in our inventory.....we're going to try hers in a sec.

you have to hold Q and highlight the ring, then let go of Q, and press it just once (not holding it down) as if you were using a potion

Finally got it to work....but had to hit q about 10 times for it to finally "take".

The fountain at Davon's Watch. There's a shrine right next to it.

Varies depending on your alliance. It's in your capitol city
