Are hagraven and hagraven matron bad?

It seems to me that hagraven is too expensive to be worth it most of the time. By the time I get to the point I can afford it, I generally don’t need it. In fact, I also have to factor in that I might only have it in my hand in two or three turns and that it might get killed by my opponent for the next turn. With ragpicker, witches and briarheart ritual, I just don’t see a situation where It would be better to buy hagraven than to have an immediate access to dismiss a card effect. Of course, the power could be nice, but those cards are barely generating any compared to their cost. I guess they could help with combos, but red eagle only has two cards combos and so many contract cards that I can trigger the combos with the contract cards generally. Overall, I feel like these cards are bad or are only useful for niche situations. What do you guys think?

They are great cards in very slow matches, or in matches with Hlaalu so you can immediately sacrifice them for 8 power whenever you need to. They also serve as a reliable way to proc Midnight Raid.

They dont give the immediate winning power something like currency exchange does, but given time they can get immense value, either soaking up 4 power repeatedly, or thinning out your deck to only your great cards.

Exactly as the other have said, they counter rajinn and they are amazing for long games and to be sacrificed. Also they combo amazingly with the crow cards.

I love to see these cards, having one is a great effect, and getting it removed is very expensive for your opponent generally. Yes it'll take a couple turns to get your 9 gold back, but red eagle games without power generating patrons, this is a winner.
