Keeping this nice and short. Emperor alliance should not be able to pick up Volendrung.

Yeah, I agree. I don't know anyone that enjoys having the hammer around. It makes the game even more unplayable than usual.

The Hammer brings out all the people hiding in keeps. Suddenly people want to actually pvp when they think they have an advantage. Fights happen, keeps are threatened, and players start moving.

So despite the want to remove Volendrung here and there on the forums from some people, it helps mobilize action in Cyradil...The Emperor alliance should not only be able to use Volendrung but should potentially dominate with it because there's nothing like turning the tables on a faction that had the upper hand(<---more of a Midyear Mayhem experience though) .

I'm sorry, what? xD The Emperor alliance already HAS the upper hand, thats why they're emperor alliance. They conquered the circle, how much stronger do they need to be? Volendrung makes dethrones impossible when they emp group gets it.

Or at least emperor & people grouped with emperor. That would be a good start imho.

I don't know maybe it is fair to keep Emp faction from using it, I personally just want to fight because I like the combat in this game. Fighting the Emp faction is fun to me, and sometimes your faction takes half the map back. Not necessarily a dethrone but why put put roadblocks in front of a winning faction and give big helpers to opposing factions? Is that fun?

Emp group is more than capable of competing with the hammer. There are emps that don't sleep. They'll defend their emp keeps all night. They'll get the hammer eventually. The hammer was introduced to counter the emperor anyway.
