    I've also miscounted and only gotten to 79 and the other person broke 80 before I did, double Grrrr.

    Yes at the higher ends of the leaderboard its not rare by any means to have matches hit 80. I have both seen and accomplished finishes with over 100 score by strong crow decks, sometimes with a currency exchange thrown in for double patron power at the end :p

    To get over 100, you need to first dominate the game, controlling what cards the opponent can obtain and ramping up your gold input while keeping your power and reputation input low; then once you've crept up to the high 30s, and have had a round where an absolute ton of gold dropped, hit the Duke of Crows and convert it all to power.

    For an overwhelming win against an NPC or new player, go for some combo of patrons like the following.

    If you're against a real player, and are clearly winning, it's a good idea to whisper them in a friendly way and ask if they'd be OK playing it out to completion, so they don't abandon the game (losing you the quest-completion credit!). I find everyone I've played against has been super sporting, in victory or defeat: people seem to be having fun.
    • Duke of Crows - as @TalesOfTribute said, you need the multi-card pulls from this for the really BIG combos. But need to be careful: only collect cards which pull at least one other card (Blackfeather Knave, Plunder, Toll of Silver, Blackfeather Brigand, and the contract card Law of Sovreign Roost) or are agents (Blackfeather Knave, Blackfeather Brigand). In either case they effectively "don't count" towards your hand limit), and avoid those which give additional power (Squawking Oratory, Blackfeather Knight), unless you're grabbing them to prevent your opponent getting them, and plan to destroy them. Don't use the Patron ability to turn gold to power until your last round, though if you're lucky, your opponent will use it early on, once they realize a patron victory is their only chance. Since when this patron favors you, you can't use it, that will mean they no longer have the ability to make themselves power through this Patron, unless you use it first.
    • Rajhin, the Purring Liar - almost as important! Keep your victim down with the prestige-removal agents (Prowling Shadow, Jeering Shadow, Stubborn Shadow, Twilight Revelry, as well as the Moonlit Illusion contract card) and card-removal (Twilight Revelry, as well as Bag of Tricks contract card), combined with the Patron ability to fill their hand with cruft. This all stymies their ability to build their deck and combos, and their ability to amass any prestige. The goal with this deck is to get enough of the agents that even though they knock them out every round, you can get more out next turn so they can't keep up. Once you got them to that point, you've already won; the goal then is to see by how much.
    Then any two from (in rough order of preference:
    • Grandmaster Delmene Hlaalu - SO much gold, and some good tavern-control. This lets you turn over unwanted cards, keeping them from your opponent and exposing new ones for yourself. The gold is important for Tavern-domination of course, but also really helps for hitting 60 gold in the last round. The two Contract cards from this deck are only worth getting if you have the combo, or get them "for free" from another card ability. Other cards from this deck that give gold are OK. Avoid Customs Seizure and Hostile Takeover (they clutter your hand and break combos for no real benefit). The two Currency Exchange cards that give you an extra patron are super useful, and getting that combo is worth grabbing any agent from this deck in order to ensure it (as well as the deck control they grant). In the last turn, these extra patron usages should be used with this patron's patron ability, to sell your most expensive cards. For this reason, expensive (9 or 10 point) Agent cards are ideal to have out if you have picked Hlaalu. Before the last turn, avoid using this Patron ability unless you must, as it will bring you closer to the 40-point deadline.
    • Ansei Frandar Hunding - plenty of power cards that give you the ability to choose NOT to use their power ability, so you don't accidentally go over 40 before you've got a good deck. Their other abilities (pull from tavern, pull from cooldown) are both helpful in early game. The +1 coin patron power, if you can keep control of it, means you can dominate the tavern early on. Also lots of "move from cooldown to top of deck" which gives you control of the crows. You probably want to trim down a bit on this deck in the later game, though keeping at least the agents for their pull-from-cooldown combo-control, and for sacrificing with Hlaalu in the last round.
    • Red Eagle, King of the Reach - the ultimate in deck-grooming, a card-eating agent or two from this deck (literally any of the agents in this deck, as well as various contract cards) allows you to make sure your deck contains only the above cards. No need to waste time converting to 2-coins once you have this bought, which allows you to focus on maintaining. The "pull another card" patron power also gives you a chance to re-start a stopped crow combo, and is the only way other than attacking agents to get rid of your own unwanted power that might otherwise edge you towards the 40 prestige limit.
    • Psijic Loremaster Celarus - There are really only two cards you're interested in from this deck: Psijic Apprentice/Psijic Relicmaster for their 4-card toss as an agent (so doesn't affect your hand and combos unless it gets destroyed) and The Dreaming Cave for its 4-card toss with draw, which is a superb combo. Pace your use of the Tosses from these cards to maximize your combos. After the first few turns, try to Toss anything that isn't a combo card to your cooldown unless you want to deliberately let it through to be culled away. You want to avoid using the Patron ability to remove your opponent's Agents, since attacking them can be the only way to get rid of your own unwanted power. Unfortunately, massively powerful though it is, the Toss ability of this deck is a one-trick pony, which makes this deck probably the least useful here: Hunding's pull-from-cooldown is almost as powerful for deck management, and comes with other major advantages.

    Avoid Sorcerer-king Orgnum (reputation-heavy) and Saint Pelin (power-heavy) as in the early game they will make it harder for you to keep both you and your opponent below 40 reputation for long enough to groom your deck well, and while the power might be nice in the last round, it doesn't outweigh the usefulness of more time to deck-build.

    Edit: as @Personofsecrets points out below, it's also important to beware of having too many cards which pop up a choice (Toss, destroy active card, pull from cooldown, remove from tavern) towards the end, as these take time that you will need for processing massive killer combos.

    Early on I was in a constant sudden death for at least 4 rounds, both myself and the other player kept getting more prestige than the other until I passed 80 and the game just called it in my favor.

    That's how it was for me too. I was actually like "c'mon, c'mon" to my screen lol. Like I was in Yu-Gi-Oh and the heart of the cards could guide me if I just asked nicely. 🤣

    Not me, but my partner did while we played some experimental games trying to get a feel for it. We ended up in sudden death for several turns and sat there laughing and listening to dramatic music, while one-upping each other by 1 or 2 prestige per turn.

    ive made it to the 90s against npc players, when ive gotten a massive crow combo and then gained close to 60 prestige in 1 turn which pushed me from the 30s to the 90s lol

    That's crazy, especially given the difference, the combos at the end must have had huge chains. Just, as an aside, you might want to edit out the name of the other player.

    Let's see... to completely min-max this, we'd need a cooperative opponent so you could get ALL the cards you need, and all the agents out ready, before you hit 40.

    Then with both of us at, say, 39, we both slowly move up in prestige each turn together, so we start our last turn with both players at 79 prestige.

    Both just tap the hourglass until you get a perfect hand to deal.

    Then in that last turn, you can play at most each card only once, since every card from your deck other than the agents which are already out, will eventually move into the cooldown, and there are no "retrieve from cooldown" cards or Patron powers. So your total earnable value will be the total value of:
    • the five top power-earning non-contract, non-agent cards from (the Treasury and the four best decks that you can pick for this task),
    • plus (all agent cards from those decks),
    • plus (all "draw an extra card" cards from those decks),
    • plus (extra cards for all "draw more than one card" cards),
    • plus (whatever you can get from the Patrons of those decks).
    • plus whatever contract cards from those decks you can get for less than their power gain, minus their cost if you paid gold

    Calculating what that theoretical max would be for all possible deck combos would take longer than I care to spend, but I suspect it'll be in the 200-300 range.

    As for contracts, IDK how efficient it would be in the grand scheme of things, but the Hlallu Oathman could be used to pick them up without the use of gold. That said, at a certain point, more and more ways of gaining prestige becomes not workable considering the amount of turn time that is lost to drawing animations.

    So I conceded before they had the chance, while they were still in the middle of playing their entire deck.
