Are you PvPing at all? 5 less skills are mostly the skills that you need to keep on the bar to apply those buffs. Yet you get 3 powerful buffs among them with 100% up time that is impossible to replicate on 2-bar builds. Also you spend 0 resources to keep those buffs up and on top of that you get minor version of sustain buffs. How does it sound balanced to you? And you CAN have a monster set with it. It is not a head or shoulder piece.

Oakensoul is very good, and very fun. Isn't fun if you aren’t using it.
Swapping bars in big encounters isn't fun due to server performance.
Having a powerful tool behind a paywall isn't... ethic?
Nerfing that tool to people putting real money to support this... well.

A good change por PvP would be letting the ring like it is now, but no one can heal you if battle spirit is active.

Remove Oakensoul from the game. A set item that BENEFITS people for PLAYING WORSE should never exist. Learn to bar swap. ITS TOLD TO YOU AT LEVEL 15.

People don't seem to understand that losing your back bar isn't even really a "trade off" at least in pvp. Your back bar was always your buff/defensive bar. What this item does is basically make your front bar the equivalent of 10 because you just have 100% uptime of buffs you were going to have anyways except that it takes it a step further by making them majors and adding major heroism. Acting like the nerf is going to kill it in pve is just delusional because one bar builds have existed long before oaken ever existed and nerfed oaken will still be way better than the old one bar builds.

They should just remove all mythics and procs from Grey Host for the week. It would be way more fun from both a balance and performance standpoint.

God no oaken is aids but the no proc cyro test they did a while back was the most boring thing ever. Either you were a stam player or you didn't play at all. Procs are the only way literally any mag class is viable. Magsorc? Weak. Magblade and magcro? Complete one trick pony class for bombing. Magden? Good luck! Magdk and magplar are the literal only outliers and even then magdk without oaken to spam corrosive armor falls from completely broken to average if not below average and magplar is just a jabs bot.

So, again, no. Go play ravenwatch if you don't want procs.
