What leads for archeology items useful in the rest of the game are hidden behind ToT?

No leads yet that I am aware of.

No leads behind Tales of Tribute. The only unique rewards are tapestry furnishings, a trophy furnishing and clues for card upgrades.

Also a card table, card display rack and Bragus as a house guest. These are from the quests but you still have to play NPCs to get them.

None. Only things I’ve seen have been motif pages from other content that I already had; provisioning recipes that I have on my main but not alts and ToT specific furnishings.

It’s a good system. No player power behind it and most of the stuff you get can be gotten from other forms of content. The only unique stuff is ToT specific.

So if you don’t like the card game you can ignore it without missing anything vital.

Exactly what @Psilent said. I think they did a good job with rewards as a whole.

The leaderboard rewards are what lack tbh.

I had read about "leads" coming from playing ToT (which I am not doing more than one trip through the intro on one character, a single full game and one bailed game (against NPCs). I do not like the system at all and I didn't want to find some valuable item was behind it.

I hope the only items behind it are related to the card game. That will be fine with me. It would be very annoying if normal PvE or PvP stuff is hidden behind winning games or such.

If you mean Antiquity leads, I've received quite a few from opening the Tribute Rewards. So far they are the same as others I've found out and about the various other areas. Today I received a lead for another Ysgramor' Chalise. A purple lead is the highest I've received to date.

There are zero unique antiquity leads behind TOT. And I don't even think any leads drop from them so far in my experience, so not sure how an Ysgramor lead dropped. There are clues for Card upgrades for the game. But those are not within the antiquity system and are just treasure maps to upgrade cards.

I appreciate the answers here.

I am still seriously concerned that they will hide stuff "needed" for the rest of the game behind this if not enough people play.

(Yeah, nothing is "needed", but most should understand what I mean.)

I may dip my toes in later, as I do with PvP (which I suck at), but I do not want to be forced into the pool!

That's correct. I've not yet received any ToT leads which I've not already received elsewhere.
