Let's talk warden ultimates

Warden is probably the only class that does not run a class ultimate in pvp. The bear ultimate was a really bad decision on ZoS's part. It takes two ultimate slots, taking away the ability to slot a healing ultimate. Northern storm is such an egregiously underwhelming ultimate that I have to resort to ice comet. Trees is OK, its cheap, it heals a ton, and it is a great support skill, not an offensive skill. When we compare our offensive ultimates to other classes, magden might as well have none, because even as a healer, I don't use permafrost, I use trees on the front bar and resto ultimate on the back bar. I have been healing and DPSing on a magden in cyrodiil since it was released.
The Bear Ultimate:
I propose that the animal companions skill line synergize more with the bear. Have the swarm place a mark on the enemy that makes the bear attack that target, without the need for heavy attacks. This will give wardens a reason to run swarm. While the enemy is marked, activating the bear ultimate will summon a spirit bear at the enemy's location, dealing damage instantaneously, regardless of how far the bear is. This will fix the issue of not being able to land the bear ultimate on a target when there are multiple enemies. Keep in mind that the bear will prioritize the target while the swarm is ongoing, because the bear is boys with the fetcher flies. This means it can be purged, cleaned, whatever.
Northern Storm:
Pros: major protection?
This ultimate has become obsolete in pvp. Everyone is running some form of major protection, be it from the flare or the CP star. Aoe major protection on an ultimate is no longer necessary. I propose a truly offensive morph. Have permafrost keep the major protection and snare as it is. It should be the support morph. Have Northern storm become a burst ultimate. Every single other class has an aoe burst ultimate (even NB!). I would like it to be a one-hit explosion, but if it has to be three like the necro smash, it should work. If it's a ranged aoe, the explosions can be cause by exploding ice wariths. If it's centered on the caster, it can be caused by a giant ice atronach's fist. Whatever the case, making the damage more instantaneous will be a huge improvement to the class and will incentivize people to run warden ultimates in pvp.
It makes me sad that every other class can show off their class prowess with their awesome ultimates like leap, nova, and the most formidable one: necro smash, all while wardens have to resort to dawnbreaker or ice comet. Let me know what you think.

So I agree with you, but there are plenty of people who like the Sleet Storm morphs.

I do wish we had an alternative to the Bear, or that it was like a summoned pet that persisted even with bar swaps.

I am a big fan of Healing Thicket, it's very good for healing during mobile fights.

i'm not sure personally, but we all know that northern storm is underpowered.

maybe it's enough to lower it's cost to 150, or extend it's duration a significant enough amount, maybe it's fair that it should give major brittle instead of major protection. there's a lot you could do.

nothing comes close to competing with the bear in pve, unless it had a passive portion once again while slotted that does something dramatic to make up for what bear can do. if it passively made chilled more powerful and also an execute, i think you'd have a reason to use it over bear on frost dps builds. but i don't see that happening. and giving it major brittle means losing bear for pve, so you'd further gimp yourself while also giving warden supports more power.
