What's your worst mistake so far?

As for myself, I was in a long game back and forth the other player had achieve 76 points and I had like 56 and it was my turn. Through combos I gained 20 power on the table and then I accumulated I think 29 coins I go to finish the game thinking I might actually hit over 100 in a single game and what do I do. I clicked on the hourglass instead of the crow and rather than winning I'm now tied at 76.

*slaps forehead*

needless to say the other player hit 80 points easily .

Accidentally discarding my best cards as i thought it was the move cards from the cooldown to the top of the pile perk. I died a little inside.

I can't think of a worst mistake for myself, but the worst mistake I see most players make is playing the crow too early. Once you tap that, you can't use it again unless I do. That allows me to largely control the flow of the game unless you get incredibly lucky in the tavern.

Clicked end turn instead of writ chest thingy, when I had double patron and lots of gold and cards to play still and OP opponent card on table to deny.

haha, something similar I did as well, not hitting crow before clicking on the hourglass - can happen, won't happen again though, it just hurt too much.

proficient NPCs are making this mistake quite often - this might be one of the methods, which ZOS used, to cripple them just enough to not be experts. They might make other mistakes too, but this is one of those, which are quite obvious.

and it is so fun to sit there watching them sit there and fill their deck with cards because they can't stomach just flushing coins which in turn breaks their chances of a long damage combo. 😅

I was at 30ish, opponent had just hit 40.

I got a near-perfect combo to catch up and blast past them. Had well over 20 coins stacked up ready for a maybe-game-winning tap on the Crow patron, but first I sacrificed the 7-value Currency Exchange card with Hlaalu's Patron ability, to make the win even more definitive.

Then I realized that I had not yet played that Currency Exchange card.

And that was the card that was gonna give me the second patron to trigger.

I hadn't nearly enough time left to try to scratch together ten power some other way. I tried, but I was doomed. I shoulda just hit the crow and not tried to be fancy.

Other than that, mainly my big fails have been running out of time with giant combo chains.

Stupidest mistake easily was not seeing the kwama egg and ebony mines in the starting tavern and just buying a 2 gold card, giving my opponent over 10 gold turn 1 to buy an oratory and more.

Still won tho!

Don't feel to bad, it doesn't work unless you also have the single coin Haalau card in your hand as well. They are both combo 3 cards.

Thinking I had the combo on Currency Exchange when I didn't.

My opponent hit 40+. I was going to use the Hlaalu patron to get 5 prestige, then the crow patron to get an additional 14. If I had realized that I didn't have the Currency Exchange combo, I would've done the crow patron first and the game would continue. But no. I didn't have the combo, and I played the Hlaalu patron first, and lost.

In the beginning, I didn't realize that the Duke gave coins. Clearly, I didn't read it lol But, I've since won many games thanks to the Duke!

I love that. They get some nice cards but bury them under a pile of worthless junk instead of just letting the coins go. I'm like yeah! Keep buying those cards!
