Launcher Update

Anybody else having issues since the latest launcher update?

The launcher cannot show the news items.

Now I keep getting either error 334 lost lobby connection or character already logged in either though haven't been in game for a while.

Have turned off all addons and nothing seems to be working.

    If the launcher does not show news items, something is wonky with your internet. That is sort of the first sign. This would also explain your disconnects.

    Troubleshoot your internet to fix the issue. Use cable internet instead of unwired, check your router settings, check if all cables are well connected, see if something might interfere with the internet signal/cable, see if your ISP is having problems, make sure you do not have a virus or spyware that might halt or interfere with your connection, etc.

    PS: PC EU, have been online for hours, and had no issues at all.

    I was running fine for a while then all of a sudden started getting issues.

    Not having any issues streaming stuff or with browser.

    if youre on steam verify your game files, it could help repair something broken with the client itaelf...

    PC NA no Steam here. I noticed the launcher update as well this morning. I then hit 'Play' when it lit up. Game went dark, thought for a minute or so then came back to the launcher. Exited and tried again with same results. Tried launching game from the .exe and it would not launch. Came here and saw no threads/posts about it. Getting quite concerned at that point.

    Repaired game and crossed my fingers. That did the trick and it worked fine after that. Whew.

    Repaired game and so for things seem to be fine.

    Turned off all addons as suggested going to turn them back on gradually.

    If I locate the culprit will advise here.

    Also, will advise if get any more issues.

    Once you repaired could you get the launcher news?

    Mine still won't load.

    Having trouble with launcher since it updated itself on thursday. It loads very slowly - takes about 4 - 5 minutes till play can be clicked. The news never loads. The game otherwise works fine, not getting longer load screens, higher ping or more disconnects than usual. Game is Steam version, if that matters.

    Was it fixed for anyone after running repair? Had to run repair on monday after "patch manifest error" and it took up whole afternoon. Pretty reluctant to go through that again just for launcher (since game itself is fine) while there is no way to know if it would help.

    Yes since the launcher update the news items are not loaded or me either.

    Started to get the Error 334 again at exactly the same time this morning.

    Turned off all addons again and that didn't work.

    After a while played for a bit and no further issues with addons turned off.

    Having a break for now will come back on again later turn on the addons and see if issues persist.

    Thanks for answering. That confirms my suspicion another repair would be just wasting time. Game runs fine, not getting errors or crashes, it's just launcher. It still loads super slow and the toggle with news is missing. The text news on left side loads in, links work and it seems to be up the date. Another thing is, that "repair" option is missing from the launcher too.

    Suspected Eset antivirus to be at fault, but all exceptions are in order and turning off firewall didn't help either. Not using any addons and nothing in computer changed recently (no windows updates or anything).

    Anyone has any other ideas? The only article in "help" dealing with deleting launcher and getting new one deals with non-Steam versin of the game. Any way to download just the launcher again for Steam version?

    Good info here. Thanks guys. I'm having loads of in-game delays, bugs, 334 and 303 Errors, black screen crashes. All kinds of crap. Ever since High Isle, the game has been running like garbage. Turned off all add-ons, and that didn't help. I'm running the Repair from the Steam launcher. Hopefully that will do the trick.

    You may still get issues with addons even after repair.

    Master merchant seems to have issues; it will run fine for days then all of a sudden start throwing me out to 334 errors again.

    Think it bugs out with certain items.

    Update: Repair from the Steam Launcher definitely helped. Errors are still there, but seem to have lessened by about 80%

    No, still no news on launcher.

    The launcher stopped showing the news right after update before I opened game.

    Therefore I think the problem is with the launcher itself.

    Just remembered others have reported same issue with launcher update that haven't got MM addon.

    After a bit of research (checking MM forum on ESOUI.COM) have found out why MM has been throwing people out to the 334 errors.

    This will happen if you have 5 guilds and then leave one to join a new guild.

    When launching the game MM will collect data and then try to add this data to the GSData files in saved variables. If it cannot find the old guild it will attempt to do this for a few days. Eventually it will have amassed a lot of data that it cannot place anywhere. Once this happens it will cause a server disconnect.

    What you need to do every time you join a new guild after leaving the old one is delete the GSData files in saved variables then you will be good to go.

    Same here, after today's maintenance I can log in successfuilly then get 303 or 334 error when I press play.

    I am having the same issue with the ESO Launcher (Steam) not loading the News. The Game itself runs immaculately, just no News on the Launcher. I would submit a Ticket to Support, but I can't figure out which Category (for ticket) to submit this under.

    Same here, Launcher is "Loading..." News, only to display "Could Not Load News" after few minutes later.
    It's propely patched and display the ability to "Play".

    I start game from eso64.exe without Launcher, but cannot get into a game. Instead It gets me into an endless queue.

    I am having this problem also. I have seen the advice to submit a ticket. I have tried that again this morning for a second time, and got the message "Please note that this feedback will be provided to the development team and you will not receive a direct response". That's the same message I got when I tried to submit a ticket about it a month ago. Am I not submitting the ticket properly?

    Because, as far as I am aware, I simply don't get the news loaded in the launcher. First it says "loading news" , then it says "couldn't load news". I don't know which of the available categories match this problem, because I think:

    I can launch the game
    My game is not crashing / freezing
    I don't have download issues
    I can install / patch
    I don't have performance issues
    I dont have connectivity issues
    and
    I am not getting an error code

    Those are the only categories I can see and I cannot tell which of those I should choose.
    I would appreciate advice, but am happy to wait as I know you are all busy people
