Why is the Repair Files option not listed now on the Launcher's Game Options Menu?

Something went wrong on the megaserver and/or with the game client. Since my participation in playing the game was summarily terminated (no reason for it was disclosed), I need to run the Repair Files option to ensure that the game installation was not damaged as a result of the game client being unable to close open files before exiting. However, the Repair Files option is missing from the Launcher's Game Options Menu(!). Why would that happen? What can I do to reinstate the option?

UPDATE: Shortly after I finished posting this report, I returned to the Windows desktop. The Launcher window was still open, with the Game Options menu displayed as it was when I made the above screenshot. Except that upon my return, the Repair Files option was included on the menu.

Evidently, there is some significant delay between the Launcher displaying the Game Options menu, and the Repair Files option being included. Why the delay? This never happened before the most recent Launcher update.

Are you still getting a delay today with the repair option appearing in your ESO Launcher?

Yes, as of 6 June 2022 4:00 PM EDT
    1. When I ran the Launcher, a notice was displayed stating that the mega-server was still offline, but the Launcher began downloading (presumably, files for the next Chapter).
    2. While that was underway, I changed to another task for at least 20 minutes.
    3. After that task was done, and I returned to the Launcher window, it had changed from Pause to Play.
    4. When I accessed the Game Options menu, Repair Files was not included among the options. However, after about 30 - 60 seconds, the option "Repair" was added on the second line of the menu, pushing two other options down.

I see the repair option listed in my launcher game options.

If you have not already, try doing a full shutdown of your PC and start it again afterward. Do not use the "restart" option as that does not truly shut down the computer. Good luck resolving this.

I have the same bug since the last, loader update. I can work around it since I have the pts installed. If I choose PTS and then goes back to live I see the repair option.

My first reply to your response became the #2 post on this thread after I accidentally clicked on "Yes" in answer to the prompt "Did this answer your question?" ....

Thanks for the update regarding the Launcher behavior. At this point you should go ahead and send in a bug report ticket here so our team can look into what is causing the repair option delay.

Has a solution for this been found? I currently have no option to repair the game, which occurred after the update following the server refresh.

I use to repair the game everyday prior to starting PvP. After the hardware refresh I honestly thought that the option to repair the game was removed. Glad to see that the option is suppose to be there.

Question is now how to get the repair option again?
I have restarted and shutdown my PC quite a few times since the missing repair option, still not there.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the entire game?
Are there any game files I can delete to force a partial reinstall and gain the repair option on the launcher again?

Update: After letting the game launcher sit for a few minutes the repair option finally appeared. Slow and late but better than nothing. :)

Evidently, the game client must confirm whether the Repair Files option is available before it will display the option on the menu. Or maybe it simply must fetch the data necessary to determine whether each respective file needs to be replaced -- perchance the player chooses that option -- before it will display the option on the menu. Regardless, there appears to be a significant delay before the mega-server sends the confirmation, or the data, to the game client.

The only thing we can do at this time is to wait until the Repair option eventually appears on the menu while the Launcher window is open, when that is what we really need or choose to do. I suppose that eventually the option will be shown on the menu again without any delay.
