Do cone/ground attacks count as AOE damage?

I am trying to figure out my champion points for a damage dealer character, however I am confused for the AOE damage boost champion point. Does it only affect skills that specifically say AOE or does ground and cone attacks count as well?
Never played as a damage dealer before so I'm just confused.

AOE's are any skills that affect multiple targets in an area. That includes ground and cone attacks.

Anything that affects an Area. So Jabs, Scorch, Engulfing Flame, Blast Bones, Lotus Fan, the blast from Unstable Familiar.
