The Ark of The Covenant?

In Elder scrolls Universe, there is this Lord Dagon, in the Holy Scriptures, Dagon, is a Pagan God of the philistines. They stole the Ark Of God, and suffered the Hand of God upon their nation until they seeked wisdom from their own priests whom commanded them to return the covenant to where it belonged. And Samuel was able to pray for the Isrealites once again seeking Gods Blessings and Mercy for their transgressions. Sometimes one can find wisdom in just about anything.

Inspiration I think, or in the spirit of - if what you refer to are similarities seen between Mehrunes Dagon of ESO and Dagon the Pagan God of the Philistines.

Pretty sure Molag Bal is named after Baal too. The Elder Scrolls has taken lots of inspiration from all sorts of cultures across the globe.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

He was initially called "Moloch Baal", so yeah. ;)
