Spell dmg buff after casting

If i cast haunting curse … and after that i do a spell dmg buff (potion or weapon buff) …
If that buff is active after the cast , but before the first blow after 3.5 seconds …
Will that blow than be including the extra spell dmg ?
Or is haunting curse (and other abilities) only taking the spell dmg amount which was active when casting that skill?
