Templar Class Overview
What do you need to know about the Templar Class in ESO? What makes it unique its simplicity. Your main spammable heals you based on the damage done, thus you can jump into single target or large groups and play super aggressive. The melee focused; ease of play makes it my favorite overall playstyle in ESO.
The Templar also excels at healing, both single target and group. You have one of the strongest survival skills in the game Living Dark, giving you a bubble healing every half second when taking damage. You also have extraordinary burst heal that doesn’t require aiming Breath of Life. This class does well in DPS, healing, PvP but lacks in pure end game tanking. You’ll want to play Templar if you like the Cleric or Paladin classes from other RPGS and MMOs.
TIPS TO STARTING NEW CHARACTER!
- - Armor: make sure to equip at least 3 armor from the starting vendors in your main city (white quality). This will unlock the skill line and you can select passives. After you unlock all of these, I’d recommend running 5 of your primary armor (tanks heavy, stam medium, mag light) then 1 and 1 of the other. That way you’ll reach end game with armor skills leveled.
- - Skills: similar to armor, make sure you slot one ability from each class skill line on your bar the entire leveling process. You can only slot so many abilities but you can unlock 100 or more passives which make you stronger.
Ranking
- PvP Stam = A Tier - The stamplar has mobility, burst damage and cleansing with high mitigation. What it lacks currently is a burst heal on par with other stam classes to make it more survivable. You’ll also have to sacrifice a little damage for resource sustain using a hybrid approach stacking max stamina/weapon damage but relaying on magicka for buffs, healing and mobility.
- PvP Mag = S Tier - There’s only one class that can stand up to the mighty MagDK and that’s a Templar. With Living Dark, Extended Ritual and Puncturing Sweeps, you’ll have the most aggressive melee playstyle in the game. Not to mention, it’s one of the simplest to get started with. You also have great passives boosting spell damage which feeds into your damage, and healing making it a force in PvP.
- PvE DPS Stam = B Tier - The positive of stamplar is it’s simplicity. Load up a bunch of skills that ampliy your damage merely for slotting like Fighters Guild, and smash Biting Jabs. The downside, you won’t pull near the numbers as other stamina builds
- PvE DPS Mag = A Tier - The Magplar, however, has access to more damage over time effects that out preforms their main spammable making them very good in end game trials and dungeons. The downside is, you’re melee and vulnerable to damage.
- Healer = A Tier - It could be argued that magplar healer should be S Tier, but it doesn’t have the same buffs as the Necro and Warden which put them over the top. For pure burst healing, sure magplar is #1 with no aim required breath of life. But, once you get to more difficult content, it’s the buffs that amplify your groups resources sustain and damage that push it down slightly.
- Tank = C Tier - In my opinion, magplar is one of the weakest tanks in the game. Sure, it’s very sturdy and survivable and I’ve beaten some of the hardest content in the game with mine. Beyond that it offers little to the group outside of a punching bag.
Aedric Spear Skill Line
Overview: consider this skill line your damage with some of the most important passives in the game.
Ultimate Skills
Radial Sweep
Swing your Aedric spear around with holy vengeance, dealing 2323 Magic Damage to all nearby enemies and an additional 1161 Magic Damage every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
Usage: good low cost bursting ult especially when leveling!
Empowering Sweep
Swing your Aedric spear around with holy vengeance, dealing 2399 Physical Damage to all nearby enemies and an additional 1161 Physical Damage every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. The duration is extended by 2 seconds for each enemy hit. Gain Empower for the duration, increasing the damage of your Light and Heavy Attacks by 40%.
Usage: this is the PvE stamplar morph though most go with Crescent. The emperor benefit is redundant due to solar barrage.
Crescent Sweep
Swing your Aedric spear around with holy vengeance, dealing 2399 Magic Damage to all nearby enemies and an additional 1161 Magic Damage every 2 seconds for 6 seconds. Enemies in your path will be hit for 60% more damage.
Usage: Amazing low cost burst ult works great on stam or magplar. Reason being, even with mag damage it’s 60% more damage if they are in your path putting this ultimate on bar with Dawnbreaker of Smiting.
Active Skills
Puncturing Strikes
Launch a relentless assault, striking enemies in front of you four times with your Aedric spear. The spear deals 844 Magic Damage to the closest enemy and 324 Magic Damage to all other enemies. Each strike reduces the Movement Speed of the closest enemy by 40% for 1 second.
Usage: buckle up for the most powerful ability in the game. Massive aoe, good single target, better with more mobs, massive radius in front of you and good range. This is the bread and butter melee ability in ESO period.
Biting Jabs
Launch a relentless assault, striking enemies in front of you four times with your Aedric spear. The spear deals 872 Physical Damage to the closest enemy and 334 Physical Damage to all other enemies. Each strike reduces the Movement Speed of the closest enemy by 40% for 1 second. Activating this ability grants you Major Savagery, increasing your Weapon Critical rating by 2629 for 8 seconds.
Usage: jabs morph grants major buff and physical damage hitting like a nuclear missile. It hits so strong on stam builds, that most stamplar pve builds just run this with one DoT because it’s more beneficial to just jab than do a complex rotation.
Puncturing Sweep
Launch a relentless assault, striking enemies in front of you four times with your Aedric spear. The spear deals 872 Magic Damage to the closest enemy and 334 Magic Damage to all other enemies. Each strike reduces the Movement Speed of the closest enemy by 40% for 1 second. You heal for 40% of the damage done with this ability.
Usage: S Tier +++ ability making the magplar the goat for easy, damage, simplicity and survivability. Why? Massive aoe, good single target damage, burning light adds extra burst, and it heals you for a mind boggling amount for the damage done. Making it one of the only class that can Rambo into nearly any situation in melee and survive.
Piercing Javelin
Hurl your spear at an enemy with godlike strength, dealing 1392 Magic Damage and knocking them back 8 meters. This attack ignores the enemy’s Resistances.
Usage: your single target knockback and stun.
Aurora Javelin
Hurl your spear at an enemy with godlike strength, dealing 1438 Magic Damage and knocking them back 8 meters. This attack ignores the enemy’s Resistances. You deal 2% additional damage with the spear for every 1 meter you are away from the target, up to a maximum of 40%.
Usage: this morph just adds damage by ignoring armor and isn’t meant to be spammed just a knock back.
Binding Javelin
Hurl your spear at an enemy with godlike strength, dealing 1393 Physical Damage and stunning them for 4 seconds. This attack ignores the enemy’s Resistances.
Usage: great for stamina users wanting an on demand stun.
Focused Charge
Charge with your divine lance to impale an enemy, dealing 1392 Magic Damage. If the enemy hit is casting, they are interrupted, set Off Balance, and stunned for 3 seconds.
Usage: a gap closer, that sets off balance. Off balance is useful because it can be consumed with a fully charged heavy attack rewarding you with double the resource sustain. You’ll want to use this for PvP and leveling.
Explosive Charge
Charge with your divine lance to impale all enemies in the area, dealing 1799 Magic Damage. Any enemy hit that is casting is interrupted, set Off Balance, and stunned for 3 seconds.
Usage: an odd morph because it only adds a bit of damage and lacks the “always” stun piece so I typically pass on this morph.
Toppling Charge
Charge with your divine lance to impale an enemy, dealing 1438 Magic Damage, stunning them for 3 seconds, and setting them Off Balance. Interrupts the target if they were casting.
Usage: You get damage, always stun and off balance, my go to gap closer for PvP.
Spear Shards
Send your spear into the heavens to bring down a shower of divine wrath, dealing 1742 Magic Damage to enemies in the area and an additional 172 Magic Damage every 1 second for 10 seconds. An ally near the spear can activate the Blessed Shards synergy, restoring 3960 Magicka or Stamina, whichever maximum is higher.
Usage: Massive AoE damage and resource sustain via synergies for allies. This is your PvE damage and healing resource sustain tool.
Luminous Shards
Send your spear into the heavens to bring down a shower of divine wrath, dealing 1742 Magic Damage to enemies in the area and an additional 173 Magic Damage every 1 second for 10 seconds. An ally near the spear can activate the Holy Shards synergy, which restores 3960 Magicka and Stamina.
Usage: this morph gives both resource pools which is great selection for group oriented heals. You’ll throw this at tanks from far away.
Blazing Spear
Send your spear into the heavens to bring down a shower of divine wrath, dealing 2160 Magic Damage to enemies in the area and an additional 214 Magic Damage every 1 second for 10 seconds. An ally near the spear can activate the Blessed Shards synergy, restoring 3960 Magicka or Stamina, whichever maximum is higher.
Usage: massive AoE DPS and considered a must for PvE DPS. I usually pass on this skill in PvP and go for a simplier loadout.
Sun Shield
Surround yourself with solar rays, granting a damage shield that absorbs up to 4800 damage for 6 seconds. This portion of the ability scales off your Maximum Health. Nearby enemies take 1742 Magic Damage when the shield is activated, and each enemy hit increases the shield’s strength by 4%.
Usage: this is mainly used in tanking because the effectiveness is based off max health. Thus, if you have low max health, low shield and useage.
Radiant Ward
Surround yourself with solar rays, granting a damage shield that absorbs up to 4800 damage for 6 seconds. This portion of the ability scales off your Maximum Health. Nearby enemies take 1742 Magic Damage when the shield is activated, and each enemy hit increases the shield’s strength by 9%.
Usage: this morph is great when jumping into a massive amount of players or NPCs and wanting something to protect you. Make sure to activate when the most mobs are hitting you, but be careful on the magicka cost.
Blazing Shield
Surround yourself with solar rays, granting a damage shield that absorbs up to 4800 damage for 6 seconds. This portion of the ability scales off your Maximum Health. Each nearby enemy increases the shield’s strength by 4% when the shield is activated. When the shield expires it explodes outward, dealing 30% of the damage it absorbed to nearby enemies.
Usage: this is a good PvP morph or for tanks looking for damage.
Passive Skills
Piercing Spear
Increases your Critical Damage by 10%. Increases your damage done to blocking targets by 10%.
Usage: incredible passive which requires you to slot an aedric spear ability on front and back bar for PvE dps.
Spear Wall
Gain Minor Protection for 6 seconds, reducing damage taken by 5%.
Usage: this means, when you hit a aedric spear ability like Sweeps/Jabs you get damage reduction. Combine this with High Elf passive and you have 10% damage reduction which you can stack on top of major protection!
Burning Light
When you deal damage with an Aedric Spear ability 4 times in rapid succession, you deal 1348 Physical Damage or 1348 Magic Damage to your target, whichever is higher.
Usage: this adds a lot of damage to Sweeps/Jabs or if you use spear/crescent in combination. Consider your burst coming from here.
Balanced Warrior
Increases your Weapon Damage and Spell Damage by 6% and Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 1320.
Usage: massive boost to damage because the flat percentage based increase is unique to templar. And you don’t even need to slot anything!
Dawn’s Wrath Skill Line
Overview: consider this your damage over time skill line.
Ultimate Skills
Nova
Call down a fragment of the sun, dealing 1161 Magic Damage every 1 second for 8 seconds to enemies in the area and afflicting them with Major Maim, reducing their damage done by 10%. An ally near the fragment can activate the Supernova synergy, dealing 2607 Magic Damage to all enemies in the area and stunning them for 3 seconds.
Usage: this is a decent ultimate to start but is underwhelming in the current state of the game because Major Maim is easy to obtain.
Solar Prison
Call down a fragment of the sun, dealing 1199 Magic Damage every 1 second for 8 seconds to enemies in the area and afflicting them with Major Maim, reducing their damage done by 10%. An ally near the fragment can activate the Gravity Crush synergy, dealing 5215 Magic Damage to all enemies in the area and stunning them for 5 seconds.
Usage: this is an amazing morph of PvP healers to run because the grav crush synergy can literally wipe massive groups. When my Magcrow synergies, I’ve killed 10 players instantly. TRUST ME, take this on a Templar in PvP with a group.
Solar Disturbance
Call down a fragment of the sun, dealing 1161 Magic Damage every 1 second for 8 seconds to enemies in the area and applying Major Maim to them for 10 seconds, reducing their damage done by 10%. An ally near the fragment can activate the Supernova synergy, dealing 2607 Magic Damage to all enemies in the area and stunning them for 3 seconds.
Usage: lack luster morph that should be passed on, in PvE take Aggressive Warhorn.
Active Skills
Sun Fire
Blast an enemy with a charge of radiant heat, dealing 1161 Flame Damage, and an additional 2310 Flame Damage over 10 seconds. Upon activation you gain Major Prophecy, increasing your Spell Critical rating by 2629.
Usage: this is a good ranged damage over time that gives you spell critical. The strength of this ability is you get it right away and deals great damage at end game if you like range.
Vampire’s Bane
Blast an enemy with a charge of radiant heat, dealing 1161 Flame Damage, and an additional 3346 Flame Damage over 14 seconds. Upon activation you gain Major Prophecy, increasing your Spell Critical rating by 2629.
Usage: this morph is the single target focused morph that hits 1 enemy like a hammer!
Reflective Light
Blast up to three enemies with a charge of radiant heat, dealing 1199 Flame Damage, an additional 2315 Flame Damage over 10 seconds, and reducing their Movement Speed by 40% for 3 seconds. Upon activation you gain Major Prophecy, increasing your Spell Critical rating by 2629.
Usage: this is my preferred morph because it deals damage to extra enemies plus it can be used at range.
Solar Flare
Conjure a ball of solar energy to heave at an enemy, dealing 2404 Magic Damage. Also grants you Empower for 3 seconds, increasing the damage of your Light and Heavy Attacks by 40%.
Usage: a unique ability that gives Empower Buff. Empower is incredibly important in end game PvE, because the top players will have light attacks being one of their top damage sources. Thus, maintaining this buff is imparitive in PvE at end game.
Dark Flare
Conjure a ball of solar energy to heave at an enemy, dealing 2483 Magic Damage. Afflicts the target and enemies within 8 meters with Major Defile, reducing their healing received and Health Recovery by 16% for 4 seconds. Also grants you Empower for 3 seconds, increasing the damage of your Light and Heavy Attacks by 40%.
Usage: this skill use to mandatory in PvP but isn’t used that much due to the cast time and the nerf to Major Defile. Consider it good if you like range but in PvE it fails in comparison to Sweeps main spammable.
Solar Barrage
Conjure solar energy to blast enemies around you, dealing 575 Magic Damage every 2 seconds for 8 seconds. While this ability is active you gain Empower, increasing the damage of your Light and Heavy Attacks by 40%.
Usage: god tier AoE damage, empower buff and an absolute must leveling, end game PvE and PvP duels.
Backlash
Summon an expanding beam of pure sunlight to doom an enemy, dealing 1161 Magic Damage to them and copying all their damage taken from you for 6 seconds and releasing 50% of it as additional Magic Damage to them. Maximum copied damage: 3150.
Usage: think of this ability like a damage balloon. The more you soak up, the more damage it does after 6 seconds. This thing goes boom and you’ll want to center your build around maintaining this every 6 seconds. Also procs important passives as well.
Purifying Light
Summon an expanding beam of pure sunlight to doom an enemy, dealing 1161 Magic Damage to them and copying all their damage taken from you for 6 seconds and releasing 50% of it as additional Magic Damage to them. Maximum copied damage: 3150. When the effect ends, a pool of sunlight remains attached to the enemy, healing you and nearby allies for 674 Health every 2 seconds for 6 seconds.
Usage: this morph does more of the same but adds healing at the base making it great for DPS and utility.
Power of the Light
Summon an expanding beam of pure sunlight to doom an enemy, dealing 1161 Physical Damage to them and copying all their damage taken from you for 6 seconds and releasing 50% of it as additional Physical Damage to them. Maximum copied damage: 3150. Targets are also afflicted with Minor Breach, reducing their Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 9 seconds.
Usage: this gives a minor breach buff and turns into stamina based ability. Minor breach is usually provided by PvE tanks which because less impactful in that context. In PvP it’s a must burst ability.
Eclipse
Envelop an enemy in a lightless sphere for 4 seconds, that harms them with growing intensity anytime they use a Direct Damage attack. Limited to one. Their first attack reduces their movement speed by 30% for 4 seconds, their second attack immobilizes them for 3 seconds, and their third attack stuns them for 3 seconds. The effects can activate once every 1 second.
Usage: the base morph is weird. You place on a mob and they beat on you and bad things happen to them. Not a fan of the base morph and think it’s very weak, but one morph isn’t 📷
Living Dark
Envelop yourself in a lightless sphere for 4 seconds to protect yourself. Anytime an enemy uses a Direct Damage attack against you, the sphere lashes back, reducing their movement speed by 60% for 3 seconds and healing you for 1023 Health. These effects can occur once every half second and scale off your Spell Damage or Maximum Health, whichever results in a stronger heal.
Usage: the most busted survivability skill in the game. You are healed every half second! And it’s based off spell damage, thus magplars stack tons of spell damages and can be nearly invincible just maintaining this buff and ruin. Trust me, try this in PvE and a must in PvP.
Unstable Core
Envelop an enemy in a lightless sphere for 4 seconds, that harms them with growing intensity anytime they use a Direct Damage attack. Limited to one. Their first attack reduces their movement speed by 30% for 4 seconds and deals 449 Magic Damage, their second attack immobilizes them for 3 seconds and deals 898 Magic Damage, and their third attack stuns them for 3 seconds and deals 1799 Magic Damage. The effects can activate once every 1 second.
Usage: again, goofy morph like the base ability. I currently never use this.
Radiant Destruction
Burn an enemy with a ray of holy fire, dealing 2538 Magic Damage over 1.8 seconds. Deals up to 480% more damage to enemies below 50% Health.
Usage: your range execute ability. Executes are usually used in replacement of your main spammable at or around 30% health (some lower). This scales very well and I usually use at 30% health of the enemy.
Radiant Glory
Burn an enemy with a ray of holy fire, dealing 2619 Magic Damage over 1.8 seconds. Deals up to 480% more damage to enemies below 50% Health. You heal for 20% of the damage inflicted.
Usage: this is my preferred morph because you get tons of healing. When you’re using to getting tons of heal with sweeps, you want that to continue due execute phase those I prefer this.
Radiant Oppression
Burn an enemy with a ray of holy fire, dealing 2619 Magic Damage over 1.8 seconds. Deals up to 500% more damage to enemies below 50% Health.
Usage: a better damage deal morph for end game PvE where healing isn’t your responsibility.
Passive Skills
Enduring Rays
Increases the duration of your Sun Fire, Eclipse, Solar Flare, and Nova abilities by 2 seconds.Prism
Casting a Dawn’s Wrath ability while in combat generates 3 Ultimate. This effect can occur once every 6 seconds.
NOTE: This is why you use backlash on cooldown, because every 6 seconds casting generates tons of ultimate.
Illuminate
Casting a Dawn’s Wrath ability grants Minor Sorcery to you and your group for 20 seconds, increasing your Spell Damage by 10%.
NOTE: Another reason to maintain backlash, providing your group with a unique buff increasing spell damage. This stacks with balance warrior giving you 16% base increase to spell damage!
Restoring Spirit
Reduces the Health, Magicka, Stamina, and Ultimate costs of your abilities by 5%.
Restoring Light Skill Line
Overview: consider this your healing and buffs skill line.
Ultimate Skills
Rite of Passage
Channel the grace of the gods, healing you and nearby allies for 2787 Health every 1 second for 4 seconds. You cannot move while channeling, but you gain immunity to all disabling effects.
Usage: a decent “oh crap” heal when starting out. You won’t be able to move while channeling BUT you won’t be able to be cc’d. I use this when I have no idea what I’m doing in PvE or getting focused in PvP.
Remembrance
Channel the grace of the gods, healing you and nearby allies for 2788 Health every 1 second for 4 seconds. Gain Major Protection, reducing damage you take by 10% for 10 seconds. You cannot move while channeling, but you gain immunity to all disabling effects.
Usage: my preferred morph due to major protection. You can also cancel the animation by blocking and dodging and still be granted major protection. Use this in PvP if you’re panicky taking damage.
Practiced Incantation
Channel the grace of the gods, healing you and nearby allies for 2788 Health every 1 second for 8 seconds. You cannot move while channeling, but you gain immunity to all disabling effects.
Usage: a goofy morph I never take because missing out on major protection isn’t worth it.
Active Skills
Rushed Ceremony
Beacon your inner light, healing yourself or a wounded ally in front of you for 3486 Health.
Usage: The “oh crap” god mode heal in the game. It’s burst potential is unrivaled and it doesn’t require aiming and 28 meter range! Thus, oh crap, solo, group, trial doesn’t matter it just works.
Honor The Dead
Beacon your inner light, healing yourself or a wounded ally in front of you for 3485 Health. Healing anyone who is below 75% Health restores 18% of the ability’s cost every 2 seconds over 6 seconds as Magicka.
Usage: This morph is preferred in solo or PvP because it’s great resource sustain.
Breath of Life
Beacon your inner light, healing yourself or a wounded ally in front of you for 3485 Health. Also heals one other injured target for 1199 Health.
Usage: this is the best group morph because it adds one more healing target.
Healing Ritual
Focus your spiritual devotion, healing you and nearby allies for 2613 Health.
Usage: I’ve got to be honest, this is the one skill I’ve literally never found useful in the entire Templar kit. It does good healing, but not much else. It requires people to be near you and there are much better options that boost damage, resistances or sustain. I truly do not use this skill.
Ritual of Rebirth
Focus your spiritual devotion, healing you and nearby allies for 2614 Health. You heal a single ally outside this ability’s radius for an additional 2700 Health.
Usage: again, I don’t use this and avoid it.
Hasty Prayer
Focus your spiritual devotion, healing you and nearby allies for 2614 Health. Affected targets gain Minor Expedition, increasing their movement speed by 15% for 5 seconds.
Usage: minor expedition, meh?
Restoring Aura
Champion the cause of divine glory to apply Minor Magickasteal to all enemies around you for 20 seconds, causing you and your allies to restore 168 Magicka every 1 second when damaging them. While slotted, you gain Minor fortitude, Minor Endurance, and Minor Intellect, increasing your Health, Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 15%.
Usage: a resource sustain tool that gives a big boost to sustain for slotting.
Radiant Aura
Champion the cause of divine glory to apply Minor Magickasteal to all enemies around you for 20 seconds, causing you and your allies to restore 168 Magicka every 1 second when damaging them. While slotted, you gain Minor fortitude, Minor Endurance, and Minor Intellect, increasing your Health, Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 15%.
Usage: this morph gives massive aoe minor magicka steal but the problem is, that’s an easy buff to obtain anyways. I pass on this morph entirely and usually just tak elemental drain from the destruction staff skill line.
Repentance
Consecrate the souls of the fallen, healing you and your allies for 3000 Health and restoring 3000 Stamina to you for each corpse nearby. While slotted, you gain Minor fortitude, Minor Endurance, and Minor Intellect, increasing your Health, Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 15%.
Usage: great skill because it cost nothing, has a passive slottable bonus and you can gain stamina from corpses. This is insane sustain on Templar tank or in PvP if using a sword and shield back bar.
Cleansing Ritual
Exalt in the sacred light of the Aedra, cleansing up to 2 harmful effects from yourself immediately and healing you and nearby allies for 870 every 2 seconds for 12 seconds. Allies in the area can activate the Purify synergy, cleansing all harmful effects from themselves and healing for 1886 Health. This ability scales with your highest offensive stats.
Usage: a must use skill in pve and pvp. Removing harmful effects is so good, not to mention solid heals over time and a powerful synergy makes it a must!
Ritual of Retribution
Exalt in the sacred light of the Aedra, cleansing up to 2 harmful effects from yourself immediately. While in the area, enemies take 898 Magic Damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds which increases by 5% per tick. Allies in the area can activate the Purify synergy, cleansing all harmful effects from themselves and healing for 1886 Health. This ability scales with your highest offensive stats.
Usage: this morph is a strong choice for damage dealers in PvE.
Extended Ritual
Exalt in the sacred light of the Aedra, cleansing up to 5 harmful effects from yourself immediately and healing you and nearby allies for 870 Health every 2 seconds for 24 seconds. Allies in the area can activate the Purify synergy, cleansing all harmful effects from themselves and healing for 1886 Health. This ability scales with your highest offensive stats.
Usage: this is great for PvE and PvP and my go to ability with Living Dark for survival.
Rune Focus
Create a rune of celestial protection and gain Major Resolve for 20 seconds, increasing your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948. Standing within the rune heals you for 743 Health every 1 second, which scales off your Maximum Health.
Usage: your armor buff that heals you and procs passives but the healing is based off max health. I use this skill on almost every build because it’s dirt cheap and does so many good things.
Channeled Focus
Create a rune of celestial protection and gain Major Resolve for 25 seconds, increasing your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948. You also recover 242 Magicka every 1 second over the duration. Standing within the rune heals you for 743 Health every 1 second, which scales off your Maximum Health.
Usage: consider this as the magicka based version that you run.
Restoring Focus
Create a rune of celestial protection and gain Major Resolve for 20 seconds, increasing your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 5948. You also recover 242 Stamina every 1 second over the duration. Standing within the rune heals you for 959 Health every 1 second, which scales off your Maximum Health.
Usage: this is the stamina based morph great for tanks as well.
Passive Skills
Mending
Increases the healing effects from your Restoring Light abilities by up to 12%, in proportion to the severity of the target’s wounds.
Sacred Ground
While standing in your own Cleansing Ritual, Rune Focus, or Rite of Passage area effects and for up to 4 seconds after leaving them you gain Minor Mending, increasing your Healing Done by 8%. Also increases the amount of damage you can block by 10% for the duration.
NOTE: this is why rune/ritual are so strong giving you minor mending which you can proc major mending with a fully charged restoration staff and stack them both.
Light Weaver
When you heal an ally under 50% Health with a Restoring Light ability, you grant them 2 Ultimate. While you are channeling Rite of Passage, you gain 33000 Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance.
NOTE: this is another reason you’re nearly impossible to kill while channeling Rermembrance.
Master Ritualist
Increases resurrection speed by 20%. Resurrected allies return with 100% more Health. Gives you a 50% chance to fill an empty Soul Gem after each successful resurrection.
NOTE: this makes the Templar the faster resurrection in the game.
