Welcome to my Easy PVP Builds for ESO. The information below contains basic skills, gear, champion points and information for general PvP builds in the Elder Scrolls Online. With Midyear Mayhem approaching as I write this guide, I wanted to ensure you had a starting point reference for PvP Builds. The information will not have a class specific loadout, more so generalized skills, gear and champion points that you can tailor to your various builds.

Skills Magicka
The below skills are samples for newer players not know what they should take. Feel free to swap things in and out if your class has something stronger or if you prefer a different play style. Use as a starting point and adjust after some game play!

Bar One Lighting (AoE) or Fire (single target)
Class Skill: Mobility, Stun or Buff
  • Dragonknight = Fossilize
  • Necromancer = Bone Totem
  • Nightblade = Shadowy Disguise
  • Sorcerer = Streak
  • Templar = Toppling Charge
  • Warden = Deep Fissure
  • Degeneration: moderate damage over time that gives us major sorcerery increasing our damage. Flex out if your class has a better/more useful major sorcerery source like Netch for Warden or Critical Surge for sorcerer.
  • Elemental Drain: armor debuff, resources sustain tool and a way to increase damage. You can swap in a DoT or burst tool, like sorcerer with Daedric Curse.
  • Force Pulse: main ranged spammable, swap this out for a specific class skill if you have one that’s better like Swallow Soul for Nightblade, Lava Whip for Dragonknight, etc.
  • Class Skill: Execute or Buff
  • Dragonknight = Engulfing Flame
  • Necromancer = Stalking Blastbones
  • Nightblade = Impale
  • Sorcerer = Mages’ Wrath
  • Templar = Radiant Oppression
  • Warden = Birds of Prey
  • Shooting Star: ranged stun, AoE damage and bursting tool that every class has access to (swap out for more damage if needed)

Bar Two Restoration Staff

Class Skill: Armor Buff
  • Dragonknight = Spiked Armor
  • Necromancer = Bone Armor
  • Nightblade = Mass Hysteria via Shadow Barrier passive
  • Sorcerer = Lighting Form
  • Templar = Rune Focus
  • Warden = Frost Cloak

Class Skill: buff or heal
  • Dragonknight = Cauterize
  • Necromancer = Spirit Guardian
  • Nightblade = Siphoning Attacks
  • Sorcerer = Dark Conversion
  • Templar = Extended Ritual
  • Warden = Arctic Blast
  • Race Against Time (morph of Accelerate | Guild/Psijic Order skill line): an absolute most have mobility tool for every magicka build. You can swap some various things in here like Mist Form for Vampire but I cannot stress enough how useful this mobility tool is.
  • Radiating Regeneration: decent heal over time that effects allies as well. The other morph speeds up the healing but has little group utility.
  • Combat Pray: a decent burst heal for you and allies with a minor berserk buff. Swap out for various skills that you’re class specific might use or a shield if playing in light armor with high max magicka pool.
  • Life Giver: insanely powerful survivability ultimate that can be used solo or in a group.

DAMAGE
General tips are to buff with heals on back bar, swap and apply degeneration (or source of DoT/spell power buff), elemental drain, then any other DoT, Force Pulse and execute at or around 25% health. SURVIVAL Maintain armor buff, use Race Against Time to speed away and line of sight, HoT via Radiating Regeneration up at all times, Combat Pray spam when needing big heals and resto ult when low.

Skills Stamina
The below skills are samples for newer players not know what they should take. Feel free to swap things in and out if your class has something stronger or if you prefer a different play style. Use as a starting point and adjust after some game play!
Bar One: Two Handed Offensive

- Stampede: gap closer, hits very hard and has a DoT effect where it strikes.
- Rally: weapon damage buff and recast for a burst heal.
- Class Skill: Stun, Buff, DoT
- Dragonknight = Fiery Breath
- Necromancer = Blighted Blastbones
- Nightblade = Mass Hysteria
- Sorcerer = Streak
- Templar = Repentance
- Warden = Subterranean Assault
- Dizzying Swing: simple single target spammable, though can be swap for a class specific attack or another DoT. Biting Jabs is commonly replaced on Stamplar.
- Executioner: single target execute that ramps up in damage the lower the player.
- Dawnbreaker of Smiting: insane AoE damage, great passives for slotting and a on demand stun though other classes like Dragonknight favor Take Flight or Nightblade with Incapacitating Strikes.
Bar Two: Sword and Shield Defensive

Class Skill: Armor Buff
- Dragonknight = Spiked Armor
- Necromancer = Bone Armor
- Nightblade = Mass Hysteria via Shadow Barrier passive
- Sorcerer = Hurricane
- Templar = Rune Focus
- Warden = Frost Cloak
- Class Skill: stuff, buff or heal
- Dragonknight = Cauterize
- Necromancer = Mortal Coil
- Nightblade = Dark Cloak
- Sorcerer = Critical Surge
- Templar = Extended Ritual
- Warden = Arctic Blast
- Shuffle: source of major evasion (must have this buff) and mobility tool remove immobilization and snares.
- Reverberating Bash: on demand stun using sword and shield bar. Swap out for a better stun like Dragonknight’s Fossilize or Sorcerer’s Streak which cannot be blocked or avoided.
- Resolving Vigor: burst healing and standard for stamina builds.
- Spell Wall: great ultimate when lacking a class specific defensive ultimate. However, this is “selfish” meaning only benefits you and can be swapped out as you see fit.
DAMAGE General tips, buff with Rally, Shuffle, charge in with Stampede and then medium weave attack Dizzying Swing, Dawnbreaker, Executioner. SURVIVAL The main thing is to keep armor buff, shuffle and vigor up when taking pressure and using your class stun or Reverberating Bash to stun a target and release pressure.
Gear Magicka

The below setup will make you very sturdy with great resource pool for healing, cleansing and casting buffs. Engine Guardian: helm obtained in Darkshade Caverns II, shoulder from Maj with undaunted keys
- (1 item) Adds 129 Health Recovery
- (2 items) When you use an ability, you have a 25% chance to summon a Dwemer automation to restore 550 Stamina or Magicka or 1955 Health to you every 0.5 seconds for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
WHY: using a lot of heavy armor will limit your resource regeneration unless taking pressure making Engine Guardian a great solution. You can swap to massive damage dealer like Balorg for high burst. Mark of the Pariah: obtained in Overland Wrothgar or through guild traders
- (2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health
- (3 items) Adds 1487 Armor
- (4 items) Adds 1487 Armor
- (5 items) Increases your Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by up to 10206 based on your missing Health. Current value: 2373
WHY?: makes you incredibly tanky and very forgiving if you’re slow to react to incoming damage. Daedric Trickery: craftable 8 trait in Morrowind DLC Vvardenfell.
- (2 items) Adds 1206 Maximum Health

Gear Stamina
This gear setup is for high resistances, decent sustain and decent damage. Swap in and out if you feel something is lacking.

WHY?: Makes you incredibly tanky and is very forgiving if you’re reaction to incoming damage is slow. Plaguebreak: from Rewards of the Worthy and traders.

- (2 items) Adds 1487 Offensive Penetration
- (3 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage and Spell Damage
- (4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage and Spell Damage
- (5 items) Dealing direct damage to an enemy, who is not a Plague Carrier, turns them into a Plague Carrier for 10 seconds, dealing 1715 Disease Damage over the duration. If the plague is removed early, it explodes, infecting enemies within 8 meters of the carrier and dealing 712 Disease Damage. The explosion deals an additional 50% damage per enemy hit. This effect can occur once per attack and scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.
