Fossilize bug that prevents it from being used

Did the devs address it? I didn't see anything in the patch notes about it.

The bug: Fossilize ability will lock its self out so that you can not use the ability.

Reproduceable method of fixing it: Target new enemies until the ability will activate

Reproduceable method of activating the bug: Unknown. It is most noticeable in 1vs1 pvp encounters since there is no way to remove the bug in that event (game breaking level frustration). It can also activate when targeting npc's.

I thought this would be on the top of the tier list of bugs... Since it makes the game unplayable...

    Is this the same as the bug that affects some charge attacks (like crit charge and shield charge), DK chains, and DK leap among others?

    I guess that's another DK skill that can get added to the list...

    I think the last time I was in IC I found a way to fix it, but it's annoying - port in with the skill unslotted, and then swap it in after jumping down into the area but before getting aggroed by anything. I still need to test it more, but... I don't really like PvP and doubly so since half of my skills don't function at all.

    Here is a copypasta of my comment from another thread that explains how the fossilize and leap bugs occur.

    1. Fossilize - this bugs out against targets using mist form specifically. To reproduce, target uses mist form WHILE NOT IMMUNE TO CCS. Target exits mist form, and target now cannot be fossilized whatsoever, until they are CCd by a different ability or they die and respawn. Roots may also fix the bugged immunity, more testing is required.

    2. Leap - this bugs out in imperial city, specifically when you respawn and go up the ladder into a district. Doesn't seem to happen with 100% consistency, but you'll know right away if you have the bug because upon targeting a player or NPC in range, the skill remains "greyed out" as if your target is immune or out of range.
