A mysterious letter ...

Greetings travellers

This one was busy going about her morning routine in the sand patch at the edge of Claws Meadow Village when a courier approached bearing a letter.

This one asked if it was possible to leave it with Puddle Claws instead given that this one was somewhat occupied at the time.

When this one had returned to the village, after washing her paws in the usual feline fashion, she collected the letter and was relieved to see Puddle had not chewed off the corners.

Contained within was a letter and a giant chocolate coin (medallion the letter said but chocolate is chocolate). So pretty with coloured enamel cups on one side and a many sailed boaty thing on the other.

A handwritten note on top of the letter asked this one to report back to Lady Annabelle Devaux. However the good lady Annabelle did not indicate a time or a place of our meeting so this one will assume she will show up out of nowhere just as this one is about to take a nap.

The chocolate was most delicious. Sea salt, coconut, lime and rum seemed all to be present in the taste – or perhaps that was just the lingering remains of breakfast …

So ready your sea legs kittens of Tamriel and pack a bucket. It appears a voyage over stormy waters may be in our future …

May I ask you respectfully if you have just recently woken up from a Skooma coma? Because other people eligible for the letter have received it last week already. Or maybe you are living very remotely and your den is so complicated to reach that the mail was simply delayed.

Nevermind, in the end you are a feline and tasked with so many important things, you might have slept over it.

This one has been quite awake for the usual number of hours.

The post in this part of Elsweyr though can be somewhat slow and .. occasionally chewed.

To get one you need to give your personal adress to Zenimax in one way or another. So either he was signed up somewhere or he was asked by Zenimax about where to ship the package. What's the case here?

This one would expect that within the community maybe streamers, content creators and Khajiit who have been around forever asking about yarn might be on the list? Otherwise perhaps gaming journalists, others who work in gaming marketing and PR? It's a marketing thing. Think of it as a ticket to the hype train - or boat this time.

A coin to cross the water. Maybe a clue. Perhaps we go to the underworld? This one will pack a warm coat just in case.

Oh I absolutely agree, but Zenimax is not sending these things out to completely random persons or players that are not actively involved in the game or community. That wouldn't make any sense and that's my point. I doubt they're going over the forums and see who's actively posting, then writing them a private message and asking for the adress to send this gift to. So there needs to be an affiliation to ZOS / ESO.

... and if "I would like to receive news about new events and promotions" is checked in the Account, people might win a lottery to get this. However, my expectation is that the list is curated. I was genuinely surprised to see someone not obviously on that list mentioned in here.

I wasn't aware that they could send it out to random people too, thought for sure it would only be something that content creators got. I am so jealous now! However, it could not have went to a nicer Khajiit.

For real, it's their annual marketing shortly before a new Chapter gets announced. Often they include other stuff like a medal, a coin or back during Elsweyr the Wrathstone tablet.

I attended a Catholic kindergarten even though I am not Catholic.

I will never forget how those nuns favored some kids over the others. It wasn't until I became an adult that I began to understand why.

This reminds me of how those nuns in kindergarten handed out fancy crucifix's to some of the kids but not to others.
