Disconnected (logged out actually), rejoin gets me flagged as a deserter

Is this usual? Was running around away from the heat of battle trying to draw the other teams since I know I was toast anyways....suddenly I see the Character choice screen. What happened?

This is working as "designed". You get the deserter penalty when you leave a battleground early, even when you disconnect due to server issues or something like that.

We need a grace period that allows reconnecting. Especially if you queue as a premade in Group Deathmatch.
