I've been getting this lately as well. No game freeze. No fake disconnection, no crash report. It feels like an instantaneous Alt+F4. The game just goes poof. I was trying to figure out if the issue was on my end. Trying different drives or computers to see if I can somehow prevent it, but it seems to keep happening.

Hi All. Can you let us know what version of Windows you are using? Or other operating system if that applies to you? We can let the Dev team know of this issue along with a operating system breakdown to help.

I was only sent the standard options, which I have tried everything for a long time. I think the problem is in the last patch!

getting this a LOT today, about a dozen times in the last 2-3 hours; all i've been doing during that time is scrying and excavating.

i usually get a couple of these per day, but today it's been like very 10-15 minutes or so.

I'm having the same issue. Crashes were there before but after the latest patch they now happen constantly. The game just straight up crashes to desktop, no error message or anything.

    I have tried:
    - Performing SFC /Scannow to repair windows system files (there were no corruption)
    - Running windows update
    - Updating my GPU driver
    - Clean install of my GPU driver
    - Reinstalling my addons
    - Running the game without addons
    - Running the game with Multithreading turned off
    - Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
    and the problem still persists

I'm crashing to desktop without any warning (the game vanishes) when I'm changing character and in the meantime I want to go on my desktop pressing the "windows key". In other words: when I get bored, waiting the long time to load a character, and so I want to open a browser or simply a folder on my pc, I press the "windows key" and the game goes poof.

Same. Always happens (if it happens) when I load the game for the first time, after just booting or restarting the computer.
Windows 10 Pro, latest version, no updates are pending.

Same as above, when it happens it is on the first load of the game from launcher, Sometimes After I log in and it's going to character select page, sometimes before..no error messages at all.

similar set ups as above, win 10 etc, nothing new or fancy - new problem ( last 2-3 weeks , more frequently since latest patch )
    on an otherwise dependable system

I tried all the recommendations except for changing Windows. You can see that this is a problem for many after the last patches. Your programmers have broken the game for many of your clients ...

As an update, I turned off multi threaded rendering 2 days ago and haven't crashed since. I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not, but it may be worth trying if others are still having the crash to desktop issue. I went from 5+ crashes a day to none with that one change.
