Who else has troubles to log-in these last days?

Since the maintenance of yesterday I can no longer launch the game, the window shut itself without any message during the loadscreen between the username/password screen and the character selection screen...

I removed all the addons and I did the "repair" function, but not any fix yet

Had a few issues on xbox EU the last two weeks

And loading screen where you chose region can't pull down their text

Will be unrelated to PC tho obvs

Thanks for the info, the reason I asked was because some players are using Windows 11 which according to technical sites such as AskWoody is not yet fully fit for purpose and is only recommended on test rigs, whereas Windows 7 users had login problems recently although there was a workaround until ZOS fixed the issue. Windows 10 should of course be fine with ESO, but the lack of other such reported login problems suggest it isn't a server-side issue. I suggest you take this to the PC Technical Support forum if you haven't already, and submit a ticket.

Yep, been getting big lag spikes, and not sure if this is just what usually happens after an update, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. Renamed ProgramData folder but that didn't help, either.

UPDATE: Renaming folder a few times seemed to help. Getting better connection.

Had to make clean install on last nvidia drivers*, was crashing exactly when it goes to characters.
No guarantee to be this, but take a look on their forum...

* after last couple months i'm on the point to roll back to 300 something version...

I haven't had any problems - Windows 10 Pro on an almost 8 year old PC. Using NVIDIA drivers from April this year.... as long as I don't have issues I don't update the drivers that often.

Windows 11 has been working great for me with ESO. Been running it for several weeks at least.

I'm glad for you, but it's not universal experience. I recall someone else solving a problem with ESO by rolling back to Windows 10, and MS are providing a number of assorted fixes for things generally in patches. Would people be so quick to jump into a new OS if they had to pay for the box like in the old days, I wonder ?

I get 'lost connection to player lobby' sometimes after character selection.

update:
The game works again well after I "forced" the Window Update thing
(it said it was up to date yesterday but seemingly not, since ESO is working now and it wasn't yesterday)

Thanks for updating the thread to let us know that forcing Windows to update has resolved the crashing. We are now closing the thread since the issue is resolved.
