Launcher works but game crashes to the desktop at the first splash screen, the white cube. Steam version, AMD Ryzen 7, Win10, PC/NA. Lots of memory and hard disk space. Game ran fine yesterday. Tried rebooting and validating local files via Steam.
When people are talking about Multithreaded Rendering, they don't mean Intel Hyperthreading on your CPU. There is an ESO video setting called Multithreaded Rendering. If you can't even launch the game to change the setting, you can disable it by editing your Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\UserSettings.txt file. Find the line that says SET RENDERTHREAD "1" and change it to SET RENDERTHREAD "0". Then try launching the game again.Still no luck. Did a repair install, turned off hyperthreading (although I shouldn't have to since the game ran fine yesterday), did a scan for malware and disk errors. Did a full uninstall, deleted all the folders and am now doing a full reinstall and checking for driver updates. If that doesn't work I guess it's time to find something else to play for a while.

I'd actually tried the setting last update, determined that it made performance and stability worse, and then disabled it. Then, ZOS turned it back on for me today.

Where is the setting located?

If you are receiving an error like "sensapi.dll is missing" then running the system file checker tool as mentioned here may be able to help.
