Anyone found the distinction in Blackwood when we goes from Imperial territory to Argonian/EP?

Oblivion map destinguised the area in a map like this
il_1588xN.2318450999_apjh.jpg

But if we look at how the rivers run on both maps I can't get them to match...

The long river that goes through Leyawiin is the only one I can get to match..

Could anyone with know how and lore knowledge draw a line on the map where the border goes from Cyrodiil into Black Marsh?

748 years between the two maps and we know that black marsh is constantly shifting anyway.
Redmane fort, Arpenia, Veyond, Fort blueblood are all in Oblivion.

Technically nothing is Imperial at this point, but we can see that Keshu regaining Gideon is an important part of Argonians regaining that territory from the Imperials who owned it during the Reman Empire.

Well, this is borderland, the main idea (in kinda IRL quasimedieval style) behind, is to have few different cultures living together & next to each other but without any sharp and visible boarders. Just like the Balkans ^^

So i would say that imperial part is north (Zenithar Abbey & Pater Chappel) & east of Leya, with Gideon & surrounding forts as a perimeter defense.

Argonian lands would be south-east from Gideon.

But as I said, there is a lot of ruins of both cultures and if you want more precise info, you can always play TES: Arena. Although it could be hard to recognize one from another. These were times of wild graphics.. ;)

I'd say everything south - southeast of Gideon is when the marshlands really start getting more "Black Marsh" in style, with one exception of Hutan-Zel to the northeast of Gideon.

So is Gideon part of the province of Cyrodiil or the province of Black Marsh?

In this forum thread I was able to find what looks like a pretty accurate overlaid map.

It's natural for rivers to shift over time, specially in swampy regions and large river deltas. ESO's Blackwood map is surprisingly accurate and believeable.

Of course, do keep in mind that the border is purposely blurry and undefined. Leyawiin and the whole Blackwood region have a history of switching between Elsweyr, Cyrodiil, and Black Marsh every couple centuries.

At the time of ESO, Leyawiin is an independent city-state, separate from any Empire, and governed by 3 military officers. One khajiit, one argonian, and one imperial. Although other imperial statesmen still hold some power and lands.

I had a doubt about Gideon. It wasn't that long ago that it was still a colony under the Imperial banner.
To this day, and since the arrival of Keshu, Gideon is independent. She obtained the title of governor which was disputed between the Vandacia and Martius family.

I believe Falkreath was a city in Skyrim.. How does it relate to ESO and the map placements?
