Anyone know of a synergy blocker that works?

For some reason RDK doesn't block Purify, which is the only thing I want to block, since apparently most of our factions Templars have failed to read or comprehend how bad getting purged is now, or they are simply from the other faction and rolled up a templar on ours to troll us with random purges. Either way, I would really like to block this synergy, but can't seem to find an addon that does it.

Anyways, it is pretty broken when you are about to hit an orb (or whatever) for either resources or damage and just as you hit it, it swaps to the purify synergy and you kill everyone.

I think the only reason RDK doesn't give an option to ignore purify is because the addon creators had never imagined a scenario where purifying would be a bad thing. :D

No, it is actually listed in RDK under the blocker, it just doesn't work.

Ahh gotcha. Still I don't think they could have foreseen the current situation. As a primary support player I just block gy, conduits, etc.

Edit: Isn't purify bugged right now? Like it shows up as a synergy even when you don't have any negative effects on you. Didn't it previously only show up if you had negative effects?

Oh, that I don't know, I just know it is popping up constantly and blocking the synergies I want/need to use.

No synergy blocking addons work reliably. All they can do is remove the option to use all synergies if the prompt comes up for a specific one you have blocked. This means all the unblocked ones get suppressed as well, for as long as the blocked one is available. It’s also not perfect, since you can attempt to use an unblocked synergy, which the addon allows, only to find that the game has switched which synergy prompt is available that same moment and now your character uses the blocked synergy.

There are only two ways to avoid using a synergy reliably. Ask the Templar to unslot Purify, or unbind your synergy key. Both have additional consequences unfortunately.

I do not think that is true. I have successfully used RDK to block specific synergies for a very long time and never had an issue, the prompts for the blocked synergy do not appear, and those I allow do. Anyhow, I have posted over on the RDK comments and the author is looking into it.

Also, asking an entire campaign to unslot a skill, most of which have zone chat turned off, is not practical or possible.

Nah, if you purify during the current meta that's on you. If a Zergling hits the synergy don't stack, Plaguebreaker is already a useless set versus anyone with a sense of awareness during a fight. It actually makes it so you have to think about something rather than spamming a purge. Outside of a 1v1 with a warden, templar, or cro and that of a mindless zerg, Plaguebreaker is weak and even in those 1v1's its useless if they out heal your pressure with HoTs.

The problem is that the purify Synergy seems to have priority over all other synergies.

Say you are defending a breach, your team mates lay down some synergies and you want to pop one to deal some extra damage, but Puggle Pugsson the Templar lays down an extended ritual on top of you because healing = good right?

Well now all you can see is purify, even if you do not have any debuff on you (though that may be a bug). So your choice is to wait out the cleansing ritual and hope its not re-cast, or pop it and risk blowing up your team mates so you can get 20 seconds of not having purify overwriting everything else, or just ignore synergies completely.

My guess purify doesnt get blocked because ZOs has changed it such that it's not a normal synergy, rather it's something that is always available when there is no cooldown.

Templars are using this skill because they don;t care if other players didn't read the memo and purify themselves because they can see when they are covered in green plague goo and when they are not in order to know when to use what is supposed to be their class's defining feature.

That is pretty much the issue, rando Templars on your own side trying to blow you up. Yes, you can choose to not hit it, but the number of times a Purify popped over a synergy I was in the process of hitting at the last milli-second in really quite uncanny, and sometimes you end up hitting them.

Honestly, that synergy should be group only, especially now that it is detrimental.
