Reach Gate broken for characters that have completed the "Jackdaw Cove" questline in Bangkorai

Hey there,

I have been watching the functionality of the Reach Gate in Bangkorai for several updates long ever since The Reach came out as a playable dlc. I've always wanted all the zones to be interconnected as in Elder Scrolls: Arena.

As response to an old thread asking for the Bangkorai's gate to connect to the Reach, a cart was placed in front of the gate which was supposed to connect both zones to each other.

However, because my main character already completed the "Jackdaw Cove" questline in the area, which cause you to be instanced upon completing. The cart breaks in this particular instance, and won't be functional. I tested this with another character that didn't complete "Jackdaw Cove", and he was able to use the cart like it's supposed to.

My main (has completed "Jackdaw Cove"):

Another character (hasn't completed "Jackdaw Cove"):

I tested this on PTS

I'm glad to have found more info on this particular issue, and hope it will be fixed in the future :)

I think it's silly that a cart is even involved. Why can't we just walk up to the gate? :p

Yeah not sure why we have the cart when there is a perfectly good gate there

It's because they forgot to make a good place for it to come out on the other side, I think. Pity, since it's the only thing that now prevents you from walking all the way from Daggerfall to Southpoint.

The gate goes up into the Druadachs, but the pass itself isn't shown. It wouldn't be much of a problem if there was a gate on the Markarth side and then technically just warped you through, but they just never added it in. Problem is there's not an easy place to put it. It'd be logical to add it in between Markarth and Ragnvald, but that is getting close to the Sundered Land.

Just checked this area in TES:V, and it seems like this mountain path is still there in the same place.

It seems that this is most likely the best connection, and I hope they just make them match up. There will be a bit of unseen territory between the gate in Bangkorai and the top of this mountain here, but that would still make everything loads better. All they need to do is match these up.

All that really needs to be done is to pop a gate at the top of this unmarked path and connect them, and that'd make it much better. I can't imagine the Dark Witnesses used a cart from Markarth to get themselves over...

I beleive that they could easily just put a gate in the seemingly random place in the Reach - they jsut added entire path and gate in Northern Elsweyr and gate in Shadowfen just for the Blackwood. Funnily enough there is a gate in the Reach. It leads towards what should be Falkreath.

either way there should be a gate connecting from daggerfall lands or even craglorn to the reach so we can walk from daggerfall to woodhearth without travelling by ship or cart.
