Winterborn set and frost damage

As much as i saw this was discussed before but i havent seen an official answer. Frost enchants deal frost damage but doesnot activate the set which makes it impossible to be used with flame or lightning staves and melee weapons.(i dont have a frost damage skill in my class kit) is this broken and to be fixed soon or this set is only be used with frost staves?

Its working as intended frost enchants arent supposed to proc it. Ive been using the set since it was made strong up until this patch. I mainly used it with crafty malacath and crushing shock on a mag sorc0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I believe the old tooltip on the set (back when Cold damage was a thing) used to be something like: "When you deal damage with a Cold Damage ability"
Glyph of Frost is technically a proc, not an ability, so I can see why it never triggered the set. I do agree the current tooltip is confusing.0
