Update ruined my addons

After I updated eso this morning I can no longer change any addons. ALL my addons turned on and stay on, I can't turn any off. If try and than reloadui, nothing changed, still all on.
I tried deleting all my addons and files and minion and reinstall everything, nothing changed.

I have that, plus votans addon list. No matter what I do everything is on and stays on, even the addons I had off before the updateturned on, I try to turn off and reload ui it turns all back on.
I uninstalled minion and ESO and all files for them and gonna try a fresh install

Uninstalling minion and the game will not delete the addon files. Remove the addon folder from the my documents location where they are installed.

Try removing saved variables for the addons. You can do that through minion. But this will reset their settings.

I did, I removed everything minion and eso related.

Same here, I have Addon selector and i cannot change anymore, deselecting addons doesn't do anything and they still stays on.

I don't wanna uninstall addons geez, i just wanna deselect some for pvp, i dont need writh crafting in pvp which makes lag higher, and now i cannot.

It isn't broken in general. It is working for me.

Have to tried to delete \live\AddOnSettings.txt ?

And do your names include non-english characters?

Broken here as well. Game recognise the addons but can't turn them on and off, they just stay on - So at this point you'll have to place the addons you want to play with in the folder, take them out and replace them with other addons when you need to do something else in the game.

Really frustrating. Have tried everything as well, deleting folders and trying loading 1 addon at the time, nothing works. Game keeps recognising my settings even though the AddOnSettings.txt is deleted. Very weird! It's like somethings wrong in the coding.

Can anyone tell me what their #Version is in AddOnSettings.txt?? Sometimes it bugs after a patch and you are left with an old version and need to update it manually. My current version is 100035 - can anyone that doesn't have an issue confirm it?

Same here. All my addons have disappeared and all in-game settings have been reset to default. If anyone knows how to fix this please help because I have no clue how to fix this.

Did you do a file search for "UserSettings.txt" on your whole drive and checked, which is the newest?

My addons seem fine. I have one I almost always keep turned off (Quest Map) and it's still turned off. All the rest are working as expected and I can turn them on and off from within the game.

So it looks like it's not a universal problem. Could it be related to a specific addon? Or a few addons?

Same here @Danikat - I have 65 addons, and they're all working just fine. I don't have Addon Selector - if those with issues all have that one, perhaps it's the actual culprit?

Hmmm. So, far, all my add-ons seem fine. Those that are on are supposed to be on. Those that are supposed to be off, are still off.

It is probably anti-virus - I disabled mine and changing addons worked after that. I've had this issue before but I'm not sure what to add to the exceptions this time.

I was able to fix mine by adding ESO64.exe to the exceptions list in my anti-virus - I use AVG. It should work the same for Avast. Previously I had to add the launcher as well last time this issue occurred.

Anti-virus has merit. They will often virtualize the executable, and when that happens, it cannot update the necessary files.

i did a fresh install of everything after i wiped my pc of all traces of eso and minion. i now dont even get a user/addon setting file. game wont even save my login info, have to accept the terms everytime i enter game now and i still cant even change my addons form on or off

Ik how to install and remove them. I did. 100% fresh install of both ESO and Minion. I now don't even get a USER file or addon file. I have to accept the terms and conditions everytime I login and it doesn't save my login info anymore.

This is sounding like a permission issue, which is why I liked the Anti-Virus angle.

I none all that, admin, disabled anti-virus,

This didn't happen till ESO updated, my anti-virus didn't update/change my windows didn't update/change, only ESO.

Something definitely wrong with the new patch. Anti-vrius is allowing everything that has to do with eso, also running as admin.

Reinstalling the game doesn't work either - addons can still not be turned on or off. So it's not even the addon selector addon that's a problem.

Well... can you manually edit the AddOnSettings.txt file and turn on and off add-ons and have that stick in the game? I think all you need to do is change the little "1" to a "0" to turn it off.

On:

BagSpaceIndicator 1

Off:

BagSpaceIndicator 0

Make a copy of the file first, in case you mess it up.

So after everything from fresh install and adding whitelist to anti-virus with no luck, I tried ESO Client "Repair" option. It worked, I now have a User Setting file and Addon Setting file and with every possible whitelist I did I can now turn on/off addons and change my user setting and it gets all saved.
