Update 30 patch stuck at 22%

When patching, it's gotten stuck at 22% (32043.03 MB remaining) every time now. I've tried restarting the launcher, restarting my computer. I even found an old post with a similar situation from a previous update that suggested using a VPN - so I downloaded TunnelBear and tried it with that running just now, but again stuck at 22%. I let it sit for a decent amount of time there to see if it just needed time, but it's been sitting at least 30min now. The launcher also becomes less responsive when at that point (lags/freezes when trying to move the window).

What's also bizarre is that my wife's computer just next to mine, also hard wired into our router, patched just fine.

I made a point of hiding the PTS server, since it would always start trying to update that right away on opening the launcher.
Then I found the Game Options dropdown and selected to never automatically update.
On restarting the launcher, the Repair option properly loaded under the Game Options dropdown.
I have it repairing now... hopefully that works

Ugh. So it seems the same exact thing happened when repairing except at 55% (32041.70 MB remaining)
Something aint right with whatever file it's trying to deal with right there.

Hmm. So after killing the frozen repair and reopening and clicking update... it somehow picked up somewhere different and worked! I did have TunnelBear running as well - can't say if that made any difference.
