Remove Alliance Factions - Replace with Faction Base Guild Warzone

The PVP Guild(s) are competing against each other. Character Alliance doesn't matter, any points earned rank your Guild verses Alliance faction.

Remove faction bases and turn them into different start points.

Turn the Emperor into a Guild reward; for them to claim all the Keeps and hold them for a duration before the Empire is announced.

Converge all the top 10 into one ranking system for end campaign bonus rewards.

Reverse the bonuses for flags be given to all same faction guilds, so there are some synergies for same faction but same time, you may be helping your enemy.

Talberds flag your representing Guild.

    When you create a Guild, it's for one of the three factions. The whole 3-way warfare is already dead and holds no actual meaning; SO why not humor this idea.

    You'd completely address almost all the pain points except performance players have. And probably open up an entirely new way for players via Guilds interact with Cyrodiil.

    I have played many PvP MMorpgs that have been designed more toward guild vs guild. Basically it is FFA PvP at that point that centers around killing anything that is not in your group. FFA PvP in my experience always ends up with all the best players eventually ending up in the same guild and dominating all of the other groups. These other groups end up quitting out of frustration with the most leet of them possibly joining the dominant group making them more dominant, and creating rifts within the dominant group as players are replaced by the incoming top players of disbanding groups that may be better than are currently in the dominant group. Infighting ensues within the dominant group and also within other groups trying to become the dominant group which is another contributing factor to the lesser groups disbanding. Until finally only 1 or 2 remain and PvP is basically done.

    AvAvA which is what Cyrodiil is, is bigger than some clique of e-peens. It allows people to band together in greater numbers than a group can attain so that no group can become overly dominant, and it allows more people to play together toward a common cause than group vs group can possibly achieve. Doing something like you are suggesting would end open world PvP in less than 2 years.

    I think a Guild vs Guild mode would be better off as its own thing separate from Cyrodiil.

    BUT I've posted multiple times to add a battle royale mode for single player, 4 man, 12 man and guilds . This would help Cyrodiil AND Battlegrounds keep pvpers who don't want to play objectives or help alliance war a place to go and do what they want to do.

    I get why many are saying no, it's a very rough high level idea; as most things begin with an idea than it evolves.

    I dont see why Cyrodiil needs, or should, continue this 3-way faction way in its current state. When you remove the faction aspect then your diving into straight up PVP warfare - Battle Royale, Guild vs. Guild, whatever since the faction design is gone, done and means nothing since Tamriel One.

    Consolidating the faction leaderboards into server top 10 or top 30 would lend competition between the top players. Something.

    The Guild vs Guild would be a difficult tasks to sort out; so how would you achieve a similar results?

    This would do nothing to address any pain points in Cyrodiil and would, in fact, create even more pain points. No, thank you.

    Fair enough on all the cons.  You've effectively spelled it out why there shouldn't be a Guild v. Guild or the near equivalent 12 v. 12 man battleground PVP environment.

    What's left?  I am raising the question whether ESO has lost its PVP sense of competition within the large scale 3-way faction war since the current climate of Cyrodiil is basically a marketplace for AP and a zone where people can bash heads with no relevance to the campaign purpose.

    So, what are the remaining competitive gameplay in Cyrodiil? Is it the 1vX build/gameplay? If so, it prompts the discussion: what type of change will bring back the sense of competition? As defined as accomplishing obtainable goals, surviving the opposition, and defranchiaing ball groups from non-group same faction allies - not the same, as attacking ball grouping tactics but raise the bar for all ball grouping into a real XvX hostile climate: Hell add in a movable group battle standard that could be placed as their mobile res location - newly res people have a 1-2 second invuln and skil lock state like IC before their flagged again for PVP

    I feel it's a mute point to create a 12 v 12 or similar battleground when you have an entire landmass open to redesign and repurpose while removing some current mechanics and faction alliances.
