I wonder in which update missing skill point for characters created pre morrowind will be finally adressed. Also a let down you can't play this tutorial with you main character so you miss part of the story unless you create an alt.

I was hoping that I will be able to do all the tutorials I have missed (because I started playing this game in 2014).... :|

A big question though is: Are older characters still gonna be missing 1 skill point that newer characters got from newer tutorials ? ? ?

Because if base game tutorial is a part of the main quest now, that means that any new charter can do a tutorial (and get a skill point) and then they can do "base game tutorial" - meaning that newer characters / players will always have 1 skill point advantage.

Why are you making unnaccesssible the begining of each chapter? Why not add the option to play it or skip it? The whole intro with Fennorian will be lost forever?

You even get kidnapped by witches in the introduction just to appear right in front of the dungeon with no idea of what are you supposed to do, or what happened with those witches or how did you arrived there.

And same with the others chapter's

The dragon attack in Elsweyr, the cave in in Summerset (I think that's what happened. I only played that intro once, I was hoping to be able to play it again in the future but now is LOST FOREVER.)

You just appear outside of the Adepturium after being attacked by a dragon, as if nothing happened.

People was asking about choosing the tutorial to play at the start of the game, NOT just where to start the game. All what this new system does is save you 1 minute of porting to any wayshrine after skipping the tutorial.

So the article says these are ancient Direnni ruins. Yet the tutorial had Norianwe saying the Aldmeri ruins, particularly the Keywright's Gallery, predated the Direnni. Can someone on the writing team confirm whether the Direnni built these ruins or if some other even older elven group did? It doesn't seem like both can be true, so either Norianwe is wrong or this article is misleading. I'd hope there's a good explanation for somewhere as important as Balfiera.

Will there be any way for my old characters to do the Blackwood tutorial, or is it only for new characters? I would have to buy another character slot to create a new character.

If you have a PC, you should be able to download and run the Public Test Server now and create a new character for free to experience the tutorial.

Note that once you’ve entered a portal, your character can never return to Balfiera.

I'm surprised to see no fan of Breton or Direnni complain... [snip] there are many Breton players/roleplayers who may be furious by this simple quote.

I am so sad for this, I really love the summerset and greymore tutorials and truly wanted to play those again, hope that in the future they will add it again, just without the tutorial things and obviously without the skill points as rewards to avoid exploits.

I am writing this solely based on reading the article ; I haven't played the thing on PTS, so I might misconceive some things, but what I read incited me to give some feedback here.

As others said, I am a bit sad that one won't be able to do other tutorials. Some of them were really great, especially the mind-blowing mind-realm in Summerset.

In future updates, I wish the following can be addressed:
    1. Give pre-Morrowind characters the missing skill point that they missed due to having only had one tutorial to complete.
    2. Either letting us choose which tutorial to complete upon character creation, or, if preferred, introducing new quest-givers in the game world, allowing existing characters to perform the other tutorials, even in the case they'd already complete the respective chapter story, but then with adapted dialogue and maybe also without the tutorial instructions, just as if it was a "regular" quest. For example, a navigator could lead us to Vvardenfell, triggering the Morrowind prologue, someone could want us to explore an old structure in Summerset to unearth some treasure, and the underground complex would collapse and lead us to the mind-realm, and so on. By the way, this could also be a way to solve the skill point issue - completing the "questified" tutorials could award a skillpoint.
    3. Give us an opportunity to go back to Balfiera, maybe? This is such an important place for the lore that I think it'd be a real waste if it were limited to the tutorial...
Especially considering that some of the choices we had to make concerning Lauriel suggested she could possibly be involved again in new stories on Balfiera.

Anyways, I hope the old tutorials aren't gone for good, because some of them were truly awesome. (And I hope pre-Morrowind chars are finally done justice to.)

Siiiiiigh, again, this wasn't what we have been asking for, @ZOS_SarahHecker; we wanted the ability to CHOOSE our TUTORIAL; choosing where we land is all well and good, but that's just one-teleport away.

Could we at least then, get important tutorials like the Greymoor one, added as zone starter quests, like was done with Soulshriven in Coldharbour? For those of us that do not run group dungeons, and are here for the story, there is no other way to meet Fennorian prior to when you and Lyris begin your investigation.

The Greymoor tutorial provided a nice reason not to kill Fennorian out of hand (I.e. if you have not done the Dungeon quest with him in it). Especially for new people. Just, remove the skill points and stuff from it, like they did with the Coldharbour starter.

How hard can it be to just add something like this on each one of the portals?

The tutorial itself did a bitter job of explaining mechanics than the previous ones - there were still some things not included like food buffs and the lockpicking part was out-of-the-way when I played it, but I liked how you could take any weapon you wanted rather than being forced to start with a greatsword.

Still, I'd have rather been able to experience the original tutorials for RP purposes. When I did it on PTS and chose to go to Morrowind, it gave the intro video that zoomed right into the ship's side... before depositing me cleanly into Seyda Neen, with no record of what happened in between. I expect that would be a bit more jarring with Greymoor if you're on a cart that gets attacked and then pop up outside of Deepwood Vale.

As it is now, there's really no difference to what we had before - we do a tutorial, get to a wayshrine right outside of the tutorial exit, and then go where we want.

Frankly, if we did have the option to replay the old tutorial quests, I wouldn't even mind the 'combat' tutorial twice: once from the Balfiera tutorial, and then Naryu's teaching it again. After all, the people who want to replay the old tutorials as well are the ones doing it for the story, so that won't matter. All that needs to be done is to remove the skill point rewards from the old tutorial quests, and then that content is no longer deprecated.

Finally, it seems an odd choice that Bleakrock/Stros/Khenarthi's is a portal destination instead of Davon's Watch/Daggerfall/Vulkhel Guard. We can't really pick up much outside of the starter zone quests there, but a lot of them (Betnikh especially) continually reference the fact that we have no soul and just escaped Coldharbour. A new player trying to do the quests in a proper order would then need to go from Balfiera -> Bleakrock Isle, then they'd need to know to SKIP the Bleakrock quests and go to Davon's Watch to get 'Soul Shriven in Coldharbour,' THEN they could do that and go Coldharbour -> Bleakrock to actually start the quests properly.

Loads of threads created about this and not one single comments that i have seen from the devs, Yes this is nice lets you choose etc but the portals should lead to what were the old tutorials not just play you an intro cinematic then dump you in the middle of no where having no clue what to do and skipping a part of the story out.

    DON'T CUT GREAT CONTENT.

Add all the tutorials back in as they are parts of the story line. If i was a new player now leaving the tutotorial you literally get dumped in the middle of no where without even a quest (only tried greymoor on PTS)
