"Please note that Companion's head armor is always hidden and will not be displayed regardless of equipment or cosmetic override settings. Additionally, a small subset of mount, costume, and outfit collectibles may not be usable by the Companion based on gender, race, or other restrictions."

Thank you for clarifying this following feedback from your last official post about Companions.

"Finally, server performance may also affect Companion availability."

This doesn't really explain what is being tested on the PTS in a transparent manner for players who don't follow PTS progress. There are currently three options to be tested, with possibly more to follow if needed.
    1. Only showing your Companion or the Companions of group mates when in high population areas (i.e., cities)
    2. De-spawning all Companions in Cities
    3. De-swawning Companions during extreme high population encounters (i.e., Harrowstorms or Dragons)

Overall, I'm glad to see that Marketing and the Devs seem to be more on the same page with this official post!

If it turns out that it's necessary to despawn Companions in citities or extreme high population world event fights, then I hope the Devs and Marketing will make that downgrade to Companion availability clear in announcements like these.

By completing meta-achievements associated with each Companion, you can unlock a keepsake collectible for each Companion which provides the benefits of the non-combat perk even while the Companion isn't active. These collectibles are located under the Upgrades section of the collections menu.
Wait, it's that mean we can have multiple passives active if if we unlock collectibles for every companion? Or it this only one, choosen active?

If we can have multiple active, why can't we have the same thing with CP green tree?

If we can have only one active, then well done with even more micromanagment...

I have yet to see any “high population” clusters on the PTS. Usually it feels and looks as if I’m one of the very few adventurers on there testing.

"In combat, Companions will also attempt to block incoming heavy attacks, interrupt interruptible abilities, and break free from crown control effects"

So, even companions are controlled by crowns.

(Sorry Sarah, couldn't resist. In truth this was a very helpful article: thank you)

If I read the feedback on companions on the PTS forum than the phrase
these stalwart allies will assist you in combat
    .

    is simply false advertising.

"Please note that Companion's head armor is always hidden and will not be displayed regardless of equipment or cosmetic override settings."

Thanks for the warning. Hard pass.

Since I wouldn't use a companion with its head armor hidden, this saves me the bother of unlocking them.
    ”Fusozay Var Var”: ”Enjoy Life”
Life is short. If you have not made love recently, please, put down this book, and take care of that with all haste. Find a wanton lass or a frisky lad, or several, in whatever combination your wise loins direct, and do not under any circumstances play hard to get. Our struggle against the colossal forces of oppression can wait.
    Good. Welcome back.
We Khajiit live and fight together, and our struggles will not end very soon, likely not in our lifetimes. In the time we have, we do not want our closest comrades to be dour, dull, colorless, sober, and virginal. If we did, we would have joined the Thalmor.
Do not begrudge us our lewd jokes, our bawdy, drunken nights, our moonsugar. They are the pleasures often denied to us, and so we take our good humor very seriously.
    Outfit slots are disgustingly expensive.

As I posted in the other thread about companions: Please let them be accountwide unlockable, and don't ever allow them to unsummon themselves.

They are account wide, but you have to complete the tutorial quest on each character. I believe currently they will unsummon themselves if your reputation gets too low or in 4 player dungeons if another player joins.

They are account wide, but you have to complete the tutorial quest on each character. I believe currently they will unsummon themselves if your reputation gets too low or in 4 player dungeons if another player joins.

You have to complete the companion's introductory quest on each character, which is a problem for any player trying to play in chronological order or do an "Alternate Start" roleplay but still wants to use a Companion.

Am I reading correctly that companions won't be available in housing instances?

If so wow what a massive face palm, I finally thought there might be a point to going to your home, other than to just stare at stuff, been able to have a companion sit down with you and to sort out equipment would finally give some cause to actually go to your homes but nope as usual a massive oversight, oh well I pre-ordered Blackwood mainly because of the companions but now its looking like I will be continuing my holiday away from Tamriel, such a shame. :(

Maybe a dumb question, but is the Armorer or Woodworker selling it instead of the Weaponsmith? Shields can be weirdly categorized.
