Streak is super Over Power skill

Streak just moves way too far imp, when you consider that at its a gapclose thats range acts as a hard CC its very strong. The problem is that the skill offers magsorc more mobility than any other class with that one skill on top of one of the strongest hard CCs in the game. All other gap closers can’t be used in the same super defensive and offensive manner, the number of sorcs both mag amd stam Ive had in execute that streak away and start converting is too hard to count, even worse you can play in the sewers and watch them almost continuously streak from 1 district to the next is ridiculous.

I suggested in a previous thread that requiring a target on Streak would require a more skilful play to be this effective. You pivot into the attacker, Streak through them, and then Streak a second time. They in turn still need to break free, now turn 180° and close the gap. This is preferable to just having a button which does all that for you and would raise the skill ceiling for actual good sorc players to rise into.

This is bad for multiple reasons, first mag and stam don't have the same use of Streak, second solo players, group players same problem ...

You can't force one aspect to fit them all. Streak is fine, not perfectly fine but it's good. I could see BoL absorbing the next X projectiles or reducing the damage by X% ...

Could you detail these differences and how a required target or minimum travel distance for the stun to proc would be an unequal impact between mag and Stam, group and solo?

We should at least be able to block the incoming stun.

Streak is just another one of those abilities whose design is absolutely incomprehensible for anyone who has played other mmos (along with mistform, clownform and arctic blast)

I didn't mind streak so much when I had wild hunt to chase them down.

You don't need Wild Hunt to sprint after them. It's just more convenient. But it highlights an important point: swooping changes like deactivating procs in a game that is "balanced" around procs lead to skewed class-to-class balance. Begs the question if it's wise to nerf a class that performs well in a no-proc environment when the game is set to reactivate procs in the coming patch?

    I think it's about
    a) the resource pool, not your suggestions. Stam can streak 3 times before being oom. Wheres mag can streak into the sunset a bit longer. Same goes for groups which have impact on your resources / consumption etc.
and b) that it's unwise to make balance decisions on e.g. 1v1 scenarios vs a magsorc alone and trying to fit that solution to every aspect of gameplay

Also the BoL is on point. Good impact/ change without fundamental changes.
We should at least be able to block the incoming stun.

Many stuns are unblockable & undodgeable. Before you say "but it's also a mobility tool", mind that those other stuns don't put yourself out of position for the follow up.

They already did something like this to a couple of class skills. Turn Evil was basically converted to a superior version of NB's fear, and it is a guild skill available for all classes.

Same with Flying Blade. It basically a NB's Teleport Strike, available for every class.

Unnatural Movement passive also allows every class to have access to reliable invisibility (that at least works and is not getting broken by literally everything).

So, since they casually gutted one class like that and stripped it with its uniqness, I don't think it is a matter "if" they do something like that, but it is rather a matter of "when" they will do so.

Yes, and oh oh oh, i want also shalks on my nb so bad. It would only be fair, nay, the right just action for the game after they made the nb skills available to all. But id still prefer streak first. Shalks a close second.

nerf sorcs threads are funny but the issue is that pvp is not played in a vacuum.. the streak frustration may occur because of the distance created between players and sorcs can go to offense with overload combos (this only matters if they do enough dmg/sec to make u waste resources .. if u can heal through it nobody would ever say anything - but thats the signature of the class) and the other side has to close the gap .. but then they can repeat that (if u dont stun-combo kill them) and it keeps going making it not as good of a fight as to other classes fighting close to each other where u either block , dodge or take the dmg ( no work-arounds .. u make a mistake u pay for it) ... so nothing else new in the forums ... [fix lag instead zos ]

No thank you, no damn changes to any more sorc skills! They're butchered the class throughout the years and you now want to make it even worse?!? How about actually finding a way to combat magsorcs?
