So... the super tanky meta is back with the new CP system

Edit: allow me clarify something first, sorry if I confused anyone:
1. My toon is a magdk, not a high burst stam toon. I know Stam toons are excellent in this patch. Highly appreciate if anyone can share a good magdk build.

2. I was absolutely fine before the CP 2.0, both proc or non-porc. I may need to grind for more cp and rebuild the toon completely. It seem the original magdk settings won't work anymore, especially mix of armor types...

We had a short period of time enjoying the no-proc PvP, and unkillable tanks were gone over the past 3 weeks..

Now they're back with the new CP 2.0 system, and they're even better now...

I know some may say that proc sets may help to kill tanks easier, but tanks can use procs to become even tankier too.

The root cause is that the CP 2.0 doesn't care CP PvP... We can expect even more high health recovery tanks in PvP in the foreseeable future.

what are you talking about, people are melting even with the limited sets in cyro. Its great so far

I have not met a single unkillable tank since this new CP system came out and people are melting left and right. Even when I slot a CP star that gives me damage mitigation I've found myself turning to dust under sustained fire so I've had to get crafty. PVP is all about speed and efficiency now and I love it!

I think op needs to add damage to his/her build. Everyone super squishy, dont know what game you're playing at the moment.

There is no tanks mate. With how smooth the server is running. The only problem now is when NA players are playing in the oceanic time. They just destroy, it's back to 3 skills hitting before our dodge roll gets registed. Or our combos miss due to them having low ping.

See a stamsorc in a tower, leave them alone.
See a sorc streaking around infinitely, leave them alone.
Can't kill someone, buff you wpn.

The PvP is a way better experience, its insanely fast, there is no Procs, there is nothing you can't kill. Damage is much higher than before since all the passive defensives of CP got hit hard. You finally need to decide if you want to deal damage or tank, because for both you need the active stars which are limited to 4 in all the trees.You absolutely can't tank *** if you want to deal damage, and if you want to tank, you won't deal damage.
Magsorcs and Stamblades overperform like crazy, but both can be outplayed, you might not catch them to kill, but you can survive them.
You need to watch your positioning use the LoS which finally does work properly again since you don't position desynch anymore and if you make a mistake you get punished, its absolutely brilliant.

We are nowhere near a return of the tank meta, its way more a return of burst, and I love it. I couldn't care less if my enemy has 50k Health I melt them either way with 8k Weapon power, 16k pen and 37k Stamina plus CP damage increases. And I am very sure thats not even close to the maximum you can reach.

It could be the problem of class instead of CP...

For your information, I'm on a magdk...

I could perform well before the CP revamp (proc or non-proc), but the performance suddenly dropped these few days...

It seems most of the replies above are from stam players (for example, talking about 8k weapon damage)...

Will appreciate if any magdk players can help... Anyway I'll try to re-build the toon...

I think there is a lot of damage and a lot of healing in this patch. I think considering the recent meta this is a good thing. We are being encouraged to actively and reactively press buttons.
