I remember a couple months ago I was in IC and I saw the most amazing thing that I ever could imagine in a mmorpg.

A Necromancer with around 60k health fighting against 12 players. Then he transformed into a Goliath and still fighting for minutes and was like a Trial Boss showing all his power against a horde of players. Amazing, shocking, incredible, I could imagine how that guy was filling to bring something specific and special to the game, something different and he got everybody's attention.

Another day in the same IC, for the first time (and never more) I was ganked by a magblade with calurion. He was so fast, when I broken the stun I was dead. I whispered him saying "well done, you are the first guys that ganked me with success here". He said that was following me for more then 10 minutes waiting for the perfect time. How I could be upset with a ganker like that (yes I hate Gankers) but he build he char, he build that moment and he deserved that.

I also remember years ago in Cyrodill, a stamdk attack a castle with his siege. And 5 guys trying go kill him. His health bar didn't move, I think we got so many health recovery and probably was using immovable pots, and he was just ignoring the attack. The players stopped to attack and I asked what he was wearing and he told me that was a guild secret.

Oh the first time that went to Cyrodill and I saw huge groups fighting each other attacking castles I was just seeing my dreams coming true. Since I played Baldurs Gate and Never Winters Nights I was dreaming to exist a game like ESO. Today I can see amazing players like Grimhallow and Sage doing the most amazing 1vX, this is the most diversity time I ever saw in this game.

Back to the Necromancer in IC.

ALL that players that was trying to take him down were experienced players I saw their badges, but they couldn't kill him fast.

Now, just imagine pvers players fighting the Big Boss Goliath Necromancer instead the pvpers.

Some pvers are dying.
Diferent from that pvpers the pvers are resurrecting each other.
They are studying and understanding the enemy.
They figure out that they can't step into the red circle that is making the boss heal and make more damage to them.
They are understanding the mechanics and talking the boss down faster then all the skilled and experienced pvpers.

This game bring to us some challenges, DIFFERENTS challenges that we can face not only in pve but in pvp also.

I really prefer see this kind of godmode pvpers that I need to understand what they are doing and try counter instead to hit dswing and executioner until they die.

I hope we can still see creative players bringing new and fantastic set up that impress me and something that make me angry trying to find a way to kill this guys.

That's terrible game design if you have a playstyle that requires 12 people to defeat. It's literally 1 person in effect ruining the fun of 12 people. This is the entire point of the cyrodiil change, fun. You think they had fun burning that hole down... I don't think so, more than likely they couldn't have their telvar farming until they were forced to stop his harassment of their group. And they likely got nothing from it because such griefer builds aren't there for telvar anyway.

What you look upon with fondness is as poisonous as bat emperors and old sloads.

I saw players like Sage and Grimhallow take down more than twelve players. And the Necromancer didn't kill the group he was killed by them at the end. I was just saying that maybe a pve group could be more effective to take the Goliath down.

The pvpers that was there at that time were just playing Wrong and making the Necromancer stronger. They could kill him really fast if they stopped to step up in the crimson circle spamming dswing. If for two. Seconds they step out of the red circle and return to hit the Necromancer, he would be dead in seconds.

Sounds like fun to me! I've seen some incredible players running Necros, W.W.s and a few king Vampy's in I.C. The game has a lot of choices for builds and playstyles.

In PVP anything goes and no one should get angry about dying. It's PVP.

I didn't mind the tanky guys for a long time, as all they could really do is stand there and distract the newbs into attacking him. When they started to put out 30-40K burst damage on top of being tanky... Things that make you go Hmm.

Maybe. The necro there was reaching almost 100k health in Goliath. If was you, thank you so much for that moment.

I remember when surviving outnumbered took a high level of skill and getting kills outnumbered took even more, trying to say that building tanky enough to survive the beatdown of 12 people without incredibly proficiently using LOS is trying to justify very poor balance. The reason most of the poor balancing in this game occurs is due to PvE and PvP being balanced in unison, PvE tanks suffer time and time again because people try to build the cheesiest, tankiest build possible. PvP DPS and Healers now experience huge losses because people in PvP have crutched CP for their builds deficient of anything but health and resistances. I will take performance and a visible PvP floor over lag and gear kills any day.

Wait, so you preferred broken builds with sets that can only be accessed in the new DLC?

ZoS might get money that way, but their game would die if they kept that up. The only thing that accomplished was a cycle of making the new meta every 3 months and nerfing the previous meta sets. By adding more and more sets to the game and forcing people to hold sets due to the changes every 3 months, they almost made ESO+ worthless. Until they created the sticker book which alleviates some of the problems but might not fix it in he long run.

Those videos were players with sets and skills (I won't deny they don't have skills) that would edit their videos to remove their deaths and wait for the opportune time to fight people with little to average skills but did not have the sets they had.

Then they would post their broken build online. Then people who have average to little skills but a lot of money in game and outside game would easily equip it on and can kill maybe 1-3 people with minimal effort.

One solution would be to split the campaigns

    1. CP + Proc Sets
    2. CP + no Proc Sets
    3. no CP + Proc Sets
    4. no CP + no Proc Sets

That way the people who pay for the extra edge can play with others who want that extra edge.
Those that don't don't have to senselessly be slaughtered due to a clear paid advantage.

I know one thing those 1 v X vids will die even faster this way. It proves they truly let the sets do most of the work.

I totally agree about split campaigns.

Now about the what I said.

What is a broken build? The stamdk with high health recovery? He was really tankie but he can't make any damage.

And about the Necromancer. He was crazy high healthy but can't kill nobody. Harbinger and Crimson? The thay that I die for somebody using harbinger and Crimson I stop to play this game. He needs me to make some damage. I know the meche of the sets and he can't kill nobody that know the mechanics using this sets.

Different from what we have rigth now in Cyrodill. A sorc with incredible mobility, defense, and burst.

Different from the crazy tankie guys, the Sorcs are harder to kill but different from the tankie guys the Sorcs can't kill a player before he notice that was hitted.

Form the we are having the broken right now without procs.

I've spent a lot of time in cyrodiil, a good bit in Imperial City - what always puzzles me are those folks whom feel this incredible, urgent, undeniable, unthinking need to kill everything in their path, or even away from their path.

I've killed and been killed countless (that's cuz I'm on a console :p) times. There's a time for fighting, and then there's a time for letting others do their own thing. I've run in to this a bunch lately doing Imperial City dailies.

I'm a pvper, I get it - a group of 3 or more, you will most certainly be attacked. A group of 2, there's about 60% they'll attack.

Run in to another player away from the emperor ring, someone else doing a daily or whatever - you'll still see about 1 in 4 players attack, no hesitation, no thought, 100% instinct.

Seriously, some of you are like maniacs out there :D
