rare items that elude you

I don't know how rare it is. I don't have it because I won't mess with safeboxes and wind up with bounties. It's not a big deal that I don't have it - the music boxes don't cover enough area in any house except the inn rooms, so I'm not really interested in them in any case.

Since i know the Alinor Table Runners do drop, i think these furnishing items are eluding me the most. It was only found once in over 5.5 years since Sommersend dropped. Or atleast it was only sold once in that time. 1 out of 3 table runners that do exist... drop rates must be ridiculous. probably some of the rarest items in the game.

If I remember correctly, you farmed Nobles in Alinor for the mirrors, so odds are you would have found one of the runners by now if that was the source. Maybe it's a similar drop to the Red Thread in Hew's Bane, and drops from containers in houses?

Nah, they are supposed to drop from clothier artisans on Summerset. Thing is, there are only 3 (in numbers THREE) clothier artisans on whole Summerset so thats probably the reason they are so rare. I supposed to drop chance is the same as for the mirrors plus the drop location is widely unknown. Took me about 20 hours straight pickpocketing to get a mirror and considering there are only so few clothier artisans the drop chance is even much lower.

This one might be worth trying to farm with a group of friends. Have everyone pick twice and then when someone murders the NPC, everyone should be able to loot. That should make the grind a bit less miserable. Maybe even make it a guild style event.

A few of the trophy items from mobs. In my 8 years of playing, I don't think I have got anymore then 1 of those achievements, if even that!
(Granted I've never looked it up so I don't know if they are pure RNG, or have some requirements like zone, specific type, ect ect, so it could just be I've never been in the right place for long enough)

I'm at a point now where I have everything I need. In fact at this point I don't even care about endless archive and am already too stressed out from real world stuff as well as finally wrapping up the Maelstrom, Vateshran and Battlegrounds stuff (that I needed) to even care about doing something new.

i dont think enough ppl are interested in it, also it takes about 10min for the npcs to respawn so everyone would need louds of time.

I received this lead once, several months ago. For the past 3 weeks I've been farming the Walking Nightmare for this lead again many times per day. I lost count after 40ish kills. Still no lead. On the bright side, my tanking skills are improving.

i lately got the blue lead for the music box and when i checked my houses i actually have 4 of the music boxes now. Weird you never found the last piece for your 1st music box, i never tried to farm those.

I killed the 10m boss 4 times, no drop. No drop from any delve either. Won't try again because the zone is unpopular and hard to find anyone grinding the boss.

4 times?... i mean thats not really overwhelmingly much effort you put into it, why would you expect to drop it with 4 kills?

4 times?... i mean thats not really overwhelmingly much effort you put into it, why would you expect to drop it with 4 kills?

because that world boss has 10m hp, doesn't spawn in fixed location, requires a real tank and is very unfriendly to melee guys like me. It's not soloable for me as I literally ran out of resource for healing every time. For that time and effort spent I'd rather kill other dlc bosses 5 times over.



in short, it takes forever and drops trash.

Yes, this is one was one of the last for me too, this or gargoyle one I think, don't remember which came first, but got both close to one another.
I got mine in Craglorn around Seeker's archive eventually. Farmed Alikr for forever and some Shadowfen before that.

Huh, so maybe that's where the ones from guild stores come from. I suppose they might not be dropping in dwarven dungeons because of some loot table error, then. I'm pretty sure the training dummy recipes that require them were introduced long before HoF, so the trial shouldn't be the only source...

It was never meant to drop there. It's only a trial reward. Open group finder and make a normal trial for it

You kidding right? There are cloaking bowmen and one-shotters almost everyday.


Encountered at least 5 today. 2 in one game in the same team, and as usual some teammates made the mistake of attempting to search for cloaked instead of holding block and healing, and got one shot repeatedly...
