IMMOBILIZATION IMMUNITY was the biggest mistake in PVP

As someone who has been playing PvP since 2015, and have seen several phases of PvP--- in full confidence CC IMMUNITY WAS A MISTAKE

2018 I think? I know why it was done, but it had the opposite effect.

By CC immunity, I am specifically referring to the IMMOBILIZE timers. Most notably DK Talons, Sorc shards and a few others.
A group right now in Cyrodil is a handful of healers and tight ball group spamming Impulse, Sap Essence, maybe a Destro... rolling around like a ball of locusts. Some times two or three of these groups will roll through a keep in essentially what is a mindless numbers game

Prior to the Immobilization Immunity, we would spend hours in my guilds discussing the best group compositions. It was never 12 similar builds, because every battle scenario wasn't going to be the same. We needed heavy armor healers, ranged healers, ranged DPS, up front melee DPS, one or two CC Tanks... Many times a handful of guys would try to hold a breach, using CC tanks, and oils and a number of things-- it wasn't just an instant "who got the best bomb off"... the other team would have to charge through, some guys would make it, some wouldn't

I'm gonna link a really old video. I was far from the best player, there were far better groups---- but this was fun as hell. I don't think you will find many players who will around then who are going to say today's game is better. It should be.-- and I really think when you made the change where players could easily ignore IMMOBILIZE for minutes on end, that more than anything else created a worse zerg environment than what we have today.

Please Reconisder allowing spammable immobilized back into the game.

No thanks. I prefer the way it is now. I don't want to go back to those times.

Do you mean access to immobolisation immunity like rat, potions, snow treaders etc...?

I don't think the ability to remove snares is a bad thing. I like the idea of each skill and action having a counter. Whether you choose to slot a counter is a gamble you take when slotting skills and is the element to build craft that is totally lost in this meta.

Edit: in terms of ballgroups I don't think cc immunity is the biggest issue. Being able to endlessly stack heals and purge constantly without the expenditure of a GCD is a much bigger problem IMO. A group should be able survive and overcome through the use of well coordinated actions. Which many ballgroups do well, but it is the abuse of game mechanics that make them unkillable.

It's ok, but the new passive of heavy armor is way too strong.
Imagine you cast your ultimate and get punished, coz your opponent has now 10 - 14% damage reduction.

I don't know what game you guys play, but i spend 30% of combat time on my knees, with no break free working. Even with immoveable pots and snow shoes and full stam. And once im out of snare, im snared again instantly.

Balancing PVP around what a coordinated raid group can do with constant overlapping ability spam is a terrible idea that will never go well for everyone else.

And in a game so busted that break free often refuses to work or the CC immunity you're supposed to get doesn't happen, immobilization immunity is necessary and important, particularly for magicka specs.

Yes, but that's a matter of general performance.

I am unsure of what you mean by the immobilisation immunity but to me... The incapacity of a group to chain lock 1 guy is kind of non sense... I kind of get the idea of the immunity since our CD have no cool downs but doing so for more people than yourself is something I never understood... This would avoid the entire group chasing a guy playing LOS non sense... This is utterly ridiculous and even an entire group of bad players should be able to takedown one guy however skilled he is...

To me, the immunity should be tied to the skill itself and not to the target. This would allow more tactical stuns on important targets while still having the stun immunity for a certain period of time on everybody else.

Like: this skills stuns the target for 1.5 seconds, once it used again within 5 seconds, the damages still apply but not the stun.

Lot of non sense would be taken out of the game this way in my opinion.

It's actually what made me leave it. This and the damages still applying even tho we are cancelling the animation.

Edit: this and the lag of course

Are you seriously complaining, that your enemies won't stand around for you to beat them up? If you want to play PvP you need to do more than just spamming a Stun, while standing around like a pillar yourself:

Nowadays you have to think what you do, you need to think when to ultdrop, because your enemy can move at any point, it made the game more challenging and strategic than Stun->Ultdrop->gg

I kind of did, played eso as a main pvp player for like... 4 years 😅

Still I don't like to do/see this, I find it somehow ridiculous but it doesn't seem to be a very popular opinion around here.

So I just stopped teso for guild wars 2 and new world soon enough 😊
