ESO needs a Virtual Home Designer
One of the constant problems I’ve come across with furnishing, are size, color coordination, theme compatibility, and furnishing inventory limitations. I and many others have wasted gold and crowns buying furnishing items trying to get them work with their home(s), only to have some work well and others go to waste.
Perhaps this has been suggested before, but I think players would benefit to have a Virtual Home Designer (VHD) incorporated into the home editing screen.
By using the “VHD” a user could see all available furnishing items that are available in the “VHD” catalog and preview and place one item at a time in their home/courtyard to see if it goes well or not. Nothing is permanent, and the player can make a better decision on their purchases.
The VHD catalog would be organized the type, I.e., Conservatory, Courtyard, Dining, etc.,
I believe this is very doable and shouldn’t be a burden on the overall performance of the game.

aipex8_ESO✭✭✭✭✭At least let us preview the item in our home instead of the current gray room. Then we can see if it fits and the color matches, etc. I hate buying things that you think are going to work perfect only to have them way too big or small. Obviously this would be a no brainer for purchasing with crowns on the purchase tab, but I don't know about previewing from a vendor outside your home. I guess you would have to pick from a list of your homes and then sit and let it load.3 -

✭✭✭Would be nice, but I don't think they will ever do it. Currently, you can go to the PTS to try things out (but I know not everyone has access to the PTS, and many houses aren't even always available there).
It may be nice to have a 'Refund Crown Item' function for like 2 hours, just as we have a trade window for item drops, and how many games have a refund timer for many purchases. That way, you could buy a Furnishing and then refund it if you didn't like it after trying it.
Often it would be nice to have a refund option for other Crown items too, like dresses which many people often regret buying after seeing how they look with different dyes/how they move, etc. Currently, you can submit a Ticket and hope they refund you manually, perhaps. Seems like a bit of a hassle, so I think few people do it for Furnishings, it would be nicer if we had a more convenient and faster refund option.1
